Finally, the time Alex was waiting for.
Mock battle!
He held his wooden sword in anticipation, as Andra just held a normal wooden stick. The two stood five meters away.
"If I beat you once, I get to ask a question. Right?" Alex confirmed.
"You think you can win?" Andra smirked, as she placed the wooden stick on her shoulder.
"Ready?" Lacus asked, being the referee. Seeing the two focus, he said, "Go!"
Alex charged forward with mana on his feet, leaping forward as his sword was held by his right side.
He didn't dare lower his guard, as he tried to spot for the moment Andra moved.
His leap brought him to Andra by three meters, as he felt the strain on his own feet. His sword is about one meter, as he started to swing his sword to gain momentum.
Less then a meter away, he's sword is about to reach Andra head, Andra stopped smiling and looked serious.
With no words, she shifted her leg a little and a earth wall rose up at Alex.
Alex couldn't change his movement without hurting himself, so he strike the wall hard, as it broke the wooden sword.
"Not fair!" Alex cried, as the wall crumbled, he saw Andra cold eyes for a moment and felt like his soul froze from fear.
"Who taught you, life is fair?" A simple question with no emotion, yet it felt like the question was eerie. "Never think life is fair." A part of the earth wall hit Alex head, and he flew backwards.
He quickly used the remaining sword left and stabbed the ground to stop going further back.
'Right, I can use fire!' He felt like slappjng his head for that. He gathered the fire mana on his feet, about to lunch it only to be blown away again.
"You lost." He saw Andra standing above him, as her stick is touching his neck. "Words are pointless in battles." She took a step back and offered her hand, which Alex grabbed and pulled himself up.
"How are you so good at battling?.." Alex muttered, feeling sad he lost.
"All about practice." She shrugged, "So let's practice your moves now."
She held her stick by her waist, taking a step forward and swinging it upwards, cutting the air.
"Hold on." She said, walking over to a small tree and made a mark on it, "Hit the tree till it collapse. Using only the move I show you."
"Sure.." He sighed, as he held his sword and began swinging. He started to feel bored, swinging the same thing.
Swinging it, he could slowly feel his body slowly getting slower.
Focusing on that mark, more cuts kept appearing on the mark.
Andra than turn to look at a certain direction.
'I hope you are doing well. Rain.'
