Chapter 11

 Asmodeus:

Asmodeus:

"Asmodeus! You must come see this quickly!" Belphegor spoke as he ran off towards the combat room. All I can do is think to myself "what now."

We got to the combat room and I notice right away Maddison had a demon pinned to the wall. "Maddison!"

She quickly turned around and faced me. "Yes, my king."

"What in the hell do you think you're doing?" I spoke with anger.

She flashed me a wicked smile, "it was nothing, but a duel and I won, correct demon?"

The demon responded a bit shaken, "yes my king it was a duel between milady and I."

I laughed as the demon lied to my face, "how dare you lie to me?"

"I didn't, my lord." The demon stood there.

"Maddison, tell me the truth or else this demon is going to disappear really quick." I looked over at Maddison as I saw a smile dance across her lips.

I saw the way she looked and the next things she said was, "we were in a duel match and it was my choice to play in the duel. You can be mad at me for all you want, but it was me who started the duel."

"How can I be mad at you?" I asked her softly.

"I don't know." She responded and turned away.

I watched as she walked out the door, I didn't know what to do now, but to let her be herself. That's all I can do. "Do not duel against, Maddison again, do you understand me demon?" I spoke loudly so that everyone could hear me

I left the combat room to chase down Maddison, but for some odd reason I am unable to find her. She isn't in her room, nor mine. She isn't even in the kitchen. The only place I can think of is the personal Hell where I showed her where everyone has their own place in Hell.

I ran and I ran till I reached the rooms. I found mine and opened the door, right away I noticed that Maddison was here. "Maddison, what are you doing in here?"

"It's peaceful in here." She whispered.

"I know this, but it also a nightmare here." I softly chuckled and walked towards her.

"Don't come near me." She spoke harshly

I stopped frozen in my steps and dropped to my knees. "Why can't I come near you, Maddison?"

"I see you for who you are." Was all she spoke.

"See me as what? A monster? A demon? I have known who I am all this time." I spoke angrily.

"I see you as the monster you have became and the monster who you will continue to be. There is nothing I can do to change your fate." She spoke softly and got back onto her feet.

I watched as she left my personal Hell and in the moment of time, I knew she seen it all. I knew she saw who I was after I fell from Heaven and she now knows the monster I am, yet again I'm willing to change myself for her and protect her.

I slowly got up as the memories flash before my eyes and the darkness begins to fill in, I am reminded of what my true calling is.

I'm running from the humans hunting me, they know that I'm angel, but how? I never once made it known to who I truly am. I'm truly afraid what would happen if they found me. I hid in caves for months looking for ways around the hunters.

I had to dress up and hide myself when I went into the village to gather supplies. I remember one time there was a little kid grabbing at my shawl trying to get my attention. I looked down and this kid stare into my eyes and I swore he ran off, but he never did.

I never got a chance to see the child again, but I knew I had to keep moving I could never stay in one place for long, because people will notice that I don't age, I never will. I am an immortal after all.

The days past and the years floated away, till again I was reunited with my brothers, I finally found my haven, but it wasn't safe for long. The days dragged on and us brothers begun to fight.

Soon another war would be upon on us, but we didn't expect it so soon. I remember the day so much blood so many humans wanted us dead, but we didn't do anything to deserve this.

I remember seeing that small child pulling at my shawl that day in the market, I remember picking up the child and running away with that child to make sure he was safe away from the blood shed he didn't need to see anymore than what he has seen already.

I came back to my senses and I'm still in my personal Hell that I cannot seem to escape I have tried and tried to escape, but the darkness keeps pulling me further and further into this dark abyss

The war wasn't over, and neither was the memories haunting my dreams, and the only person who makes it go away doesn't want to see me, because for that I am a monster in her eyes.
