The night sky sparkled over New York City, the skyline twinkling with millions of lights. Atop the tallest building, Thorin-933 stood at the edge, his heart racing with anticipation. Wearing a incomplete Jedi suit, His brown hair was hidden beneath a glossy black Darth Vader mask, the red-tinted lenses glowing ominously. He glanced down at the bustling streets below, a shiver of excitement running through him.
He clenched his fists, sparks of blue electricity crackling around his hands. "Alright... I can do this. I practiced with Uncle Thor... I've got this." He took a deep breath, steadying his nerves. "And no one will recognize me with this mask. Genius, Thorin... pure genius."
He leaned forward, his heart pounding. "Here I go!"
He stepped off the ledge, his body plummeting downward, the wind howling around him. His stomach flipped, the thrill of freefall sending his heart racing. He focused, letting the electric energy surge through him.
With a flash of blue light, he shot upwards, rocketing into the sky. "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHOOOOOOO!!!" His laughter echoed through the night, his voice muffled by the mask. "HECK YEAHHHHHH!!!"
He soared higher and higher, his body zipping through the clouds. The city lights sparkled below, the skyline stretching out endlessly. He twirled in the air, his limbs weightless as he spun through the night. "This... this is amazing!"
He flew faster, his body becoming a blur of blue lightning. He felt unstoppable, invincible. "I'm flying... I'm actually flying!"
But his joy was short-lived. A loud honking noise blared from his right, followed by blinding white lights. His eyes widened as he turned, only to see the underbelly of a massive airplane looming right in front of him.
"Oh, steaming cheesecake..."
The plane's wing slammed into him, sending him spiraling out of control. "WHOA WHOA WHOA WHOAAAA!" He tumbled through the air, his limbs flailing as he plummeted toward the ground.
He tried to stabilize himself, but his body was spinning too fast, the world around him a dizzying blur. "Okay... don't panic... don't panic... PANIC!"
The ground rushed up to meet him, his velocity increasing. He squeezed his eyes shut, bracing for impact.
CRASH!
He slammed into a row of metal garbage bins, the force of his fall sending trash flying in every direction. He tumbled to the ground, landing face-first in a pile of leftover spaghetti and banana peels. The Darth Vader mask rolled off his head, spinning to a stop a few feet away.
He lay there in the garbage, groaning as his body throbbed with pain. "Ugh... stupid airplane..." He tried to sit up, only for a pizza box to flop over his face. He shoved it off, his Darth Vader helmet mask now smeared with tomato sauce.
A loud laugh echoed from above. Thorin looked up, his eyes widening in horror.
On the fire escape, leaning casually against the railing, was Gwen-933 aka Spider-Woman. She wore her white, red and pink Spider-Woman suit, Her blue eyes sparkled with amusement as she looked down at him.
"Well, well... that was quite a performance, Darth Vader with a Jedi Suit Boy." She snickered, crossing her arms. "Didn't know the Empire had pilots that... uncoordinated."
Thorin's face turned bright red, his heart sinking. "Y-You... you saw that?"
Gwen burst out laughing, nearly doubling over. "Oh, I saw everything!" She wiped a tear from her eye, her voice trembling with laughter. "Especially the part where you went 'WOOOOHOOOO!' like you were on a roller coaster."
Thorin still in his jedi suit and darth vader mask groaned, slumping back into the garbage pile. "Please... just bury me here..."
Gwen swung down from the fire escape, landing gracefully in front of him. She offered him a hand, her eyes still twinkling with mischief. "C'mon, Thunder Boy. You can't stay buried in garbage forever."
He hesitated before taking her hand, letting her help him up. "I... I was practicing," he mumbled, his face still bright red behind his Darth Vader mask. "I thought... no one would see me."
Gwen smiled, her voice softening. "Hey... I get it." She leaned closer, her expression more serious. "But you really should be more careful. Flying is dangerous... especially in New York airspace."
Thorin looked down behind the mask, shame flickering in his eyes. "Yeah... I learned that the hard way." He glanced at her, his curiosity getting the better of him. "You're... not freaked out?"
Gwen's eyes sparkled as she tapped the side of her head. "Takes more than flying and lightning to freak me out.
Thorin brushes off a banana peel. "Great... now she thinks I'm a dork." But his smile didn't fade. If anything, it grew wider.
Gwen's laughter echoed through the alley as she shot a web to the rooftop. "Your secret's safe with me... Darth Vader Boy." She saluted playfully before swinging away, her laughter fading into the night.
He looked up at the sky, his eyes sparkling with determination. "Alright... round two. This time... no airplanes."
He took a deep breath, electricity crackling around him as he lifted off the ground once more. His confidence returned, his heart soaring even higher than before.
