51. Brainwash

The next morning, Hendra woke up alone on the bed. His hands felt the bed for her whereabouts, but Aruna was nowhere. The only thing he found was the white bolster pillow that he held as he woke.

"Where are you?"

The blue eyed man rose from the bed and strode to the bathroom, in case she takes a shower again. Then, he searched the closet that his wife liked to use for a hiding place. Sadly, there was no one there either. He banged open the door and walked down the stairs.

"Does anyone know where my wife is?" His voice bellowed as he inquired of the maids that were busy preparing breakfast in the dining room – which was located right at the center of the main house of the Wenceslas family.

"Sir, last night I saw her going out with secretary Surya," one of the maids answered right away.

Hearing that, Hendra was about to march back to his room to get his phone. But, before he could do that, Surya was approaching him in his neat and fitted suit.
