"Of course, it makes me excited, Mom. The baby is moving. And my sister wearing a house dress paints a funny picture. So cute! I almost couldn't believe how much it changed her."

The women in the family turned their attention to the only man amongst them.

The most patient man they knew now froze. He was difficult to persuade. Too disappointed? No doubt. How come any father not feel disappointed when his daughter that he requested to get married gave out many excuses just to put the marriage off. And when he could take it no more she smeared their reputation with getting pregnant accidentally, out of marriage.

"Listen here, Aruna. When you are married–"
