Chapter 6

I hold her hand as tightly as I could.

She was really surprised.

Yet, she didn't utter a single word.

She kept staring at me.

However, after looking at other's faces and hers, I knew she felt scared.

I immediately let go of her hand.

The boys were looking at me in such a pathetic way.

"Kyle, you cannot win a girl's heart by grabbing her hand, man." Said one of the boys.

Then Amelia came to me and let out such a huge sigh.

She patted my shoulder gently like she was comforting me.

I swear they just had a big misunderstanding about this.

Then we returned to our home.

********

The next day, I came to school as usual.

She came to school a little late than me.

She came and sat down on the seat behind me like yesterday.

"I felt bad for what did yesterday, can you forgive me?"

Alright! That's what I will say during recess.

*******

RINNNGGG!!!

The bell has started to ring.

As the teacher was leaving the class, I looked behind me to invite the girl for recess.

As I turned around, she was gone.

I was surprised.

When did she get out?

I looked around the class.

She's really gone.

I saw a group of three boys looking at me.

They sighed.

Like they were saying, " You miss your turn to shine again I see..."

I swear those boys had misunderstood something.

I quickly get up from my seat and walked hastily out of the door.

I looked around the canteen.

She's not there.

I looked back at my classroom.

She was also not there.

I looked at each classroom on each floor.

There are almost a hundred of them.

I wondered she maybe had a friend from another class.

But she's not there.

Where did she go?

I panted.

I panted almost too quickly.

I returned to my classroom.

I took my medicine and went out for a walk.

She maybe went home already.

Maybe she was tired of this school already.

The same as me used to be with this world.

*********

I took a walk around the teacher's parking lot.

Because there had a huge comforting tree and a bench under it.

It was such a nice place yet nobody wanted to go there.

Such a waste.

I haven't gone there for quite a long time.

Not too long though.

2 weeks maybe?

I'm just scared that my friends will think that I will lose them as my friend if I distanced myself so much.

As soon as I arrived there, I saw her, the girl that I was searching for.

She was holding a slice of bread in one hand and on the other hand, she was petting a fluffy brown cat beside her.

The way she smiled while petting it was truly a magnificent sight.

Her black hair and her blue eyes, made my heart felt really calm inside.

As soon she noticed me, my heart skipped a little.

But probably not as much as her when she saw a boy who was holding her hand for no reason yesterday was watching her from afar silently.

But still, she didn't say anything.

There were no words exchanged between us, yet I felt really close to her.

I looked at her and said the sentence I was planning in the class,

"Can you be my friend?"

Wait a second.

It was not it.

What I was saying?

She must have thought that I was a weird guy after the thing I did yesterday.

Oh, man.

But to my surprise, she laughed.

It was a small laugh, but she at least responded to me.

That was a good thing, right?

She then suddenly got up from the bench and walked to me.

"My name is Nana." She said with her small voice.

"My name is Kyle, nice to meet you."

And thus that was how I met her.
