Chapter 15: Lucia and Tarcisio

"Isabella, do you know what ends my day?" Max asks as they walk.

"No what?" She asked.

"In the evening." Max laughed.

"Hehe. It wasn't even funny." Isabella said this but laughed at the end.

"Then why did you laugh?" Max asked with a smile.

"..." Isabella turned her face away and didn't answer. Then she turns to him and says, "Happy is he... who isn't sad."

"You will never forget the things you remember." Max continued.

"You know what's not above you? What's below." Isabella said.

"One thing is right. If it's not true, it's a lie." Max said.

"Okay, stop, stop, otherwise it will never stop." Isabella could no longer stand to laugh at boring jokes.

After they arrived at the Colombo store, they started looking at the refrigerators, stoves, and other kitchen items like microwaves and electric ovens.

"Isabella?"

A jovial voice rang out as Max and Isabella looked at a beautiful silver duplex refrigerator. It was the latest generation, it even said when something started to freeze and could be controlled by wifi.

"Lucia!" Isabella turned and gritted her teeth.

"Mm?" Max was confused, he didn't know this girl, she wasn't even from Fael School.

Seeing Max's confusion, Isabella whispered, "She's from my old school."

"Oh..."

Next to Lucia was a tall, tan-skinned boy with strong muscles, almost looking like he'd taken steroids.

"This is your boyfriend, Pffff." She laughed but pretended to be polite: "Sorry, it was just that there were so many rich kids who were interested in you, but I didn't expect it, pfff haha!!"

She couldn't help but laugh out loud.

The boy beside Lucia, Tarcisio, looked Max up and down and sneered.

Tarcisio comes from a wealthy third generation family and studies at the school of gifted students, his narcissism makes his upturned nose hit the ceiling.

"This fridge costs over a thousand dollars, dear Isabella, I know it can be a dream to have one of these, but you should think about whether you can afford it or not." Lucia said arrogantly and pretended to be humble: "But you're lucky, I want to renovate my kitchen, you can have my old one for free!"

Max, who was silent, looked at the seller, and said, "I want this, and this, and this, and this."

"Oh, oh, ok." He didn't know if what they said was true or not that Max and Isabella couldn't afford to pay, but still, he was respectful and not disdainful. He knew he shouldn't believe everything he saw. Since he said he wanted to buy, he should at least make the fix, if he cannot pay at the time, the problem was not his.

"Max." Isabella was helpless, but she also wanted to teach Lucia a lesson and didn't deny for the first time that Max wanted to buy something expensive.

All together, it was over 50 thousand dollars, even more, expensive than the BMW he bought for Sarah.

Lucia stamped her foot in anger and huffed: "Ha, I want to see you embarrassed, pretending to be rich, choosing the most expensive one on top? Ha, you don't fool anybody.

"How many times do you want to do it?" The seller asked.

"At once," Max replied.

"At once?" The seller took a deep breath. If everything is true, his commission will be great... Calming down, he starts asking for the data, which were registered in Isabella's name.

"Haha. At what point do you want to show up, more than 50 thousand and still want to pay at once?" Lucia crossed her arms over her chest and scoffed.

Minutes later, the very polite salesperson said: "Your purchases have already been checked out, just go pay."

"Okay." Max looks at Isabella taking her hand: "Let's go."

When they arrived at the checkout, the woman asked, "Isabella?"

"Yes, I'll get it by QR," Luan said.

"Okay, just a moment." Surprise though. She was still calm.

After a few minutes she says, "Okay, just run the QR over the machine."

Max opens the app, and out of the corner of her eye Lucia sees how many Max has: "6 million!" She ended up screaming and covered her mouth.

Max snorted and passed the QR.

"It's paid, thank you very much for choosing the Colombo store, your voucher and warranty are already being issued." The cashier's smile widened.

"Okay." Max and Isabella waited.

Isabella looked smug at Lucia who lowered her head in embarrassment.

[You paid Columbus store: We debited $58,000 from your account]

"My God, thank you, Max!" Isabella hugged him and kissed him in front of everyone without caring, she was shaking with emotion. In addition to giving Lucia a very strong slap, she got a totally new, super modern kitchen. How could she not be happy?

"Tarcisio let's go!" Lucia couldn't stand to stay in that store any longer.

"But didn't you want to buy a microwave?" Tarcisius asked.

Out of curiosity, Max saw Lucia's information.

'Hehe... So it's all makeup, she must be professional... Besides, why does she see me so favorably?'

"Microwave my ass, I won't stay another second in this store!" Lucia was furious, blowing smoke from her head.

"You, let's go on the street, you made my girlfriend angry, if I don't teach you a lesson, I won't feel good." Tarcisio didn't leave but rather pointed his finger at Max.

'System, what are the chances of me losing to him?' Max tried to see if the system could assess.

[]

"Hehe... Let's go." Knowing it was so little, Max wasn't afraid.

"Max." Isabella was worried.

"Don't worry, finish things here, and from our address for them to deliver things, I'll go and come back soon." He kissed her forehead.

"Convinced! You are ready to go straight to the hospital!" Tarcisio's expression distorted.

Lucia also returned with a smug smile, after all, Tarcisio was in the top 100 of the strongest students at the Kenda School.

When they arrived outside the store, in the parking lot, Tarcisio ran towards Max: "Die!"

Max had to admit that Tarcisio was fast and if he went before he would be helpless, but he remained indifferent when he said in his mind: 'Time Stop.'

*POW!*

When time stopped, Tarcisio was a few centimeters from Max, and twisting his body backward, taking momentum, Max used all his strength to hit Tarcisio in the face.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

A pitiful scream echoed.

Rolling on the floor with blood running from his nose, and with three broken teeth, Tarcisio was in great pain.

"Tarcisio!" Lucia came to his rescue after coming out of her stupor and looked at Max in bewilderment and fear.

"Weak," Max said indifferently and went back to the store.

"It's done?" Isabella was surprised at how quickly Max returned.

"Yes, it's done." Max nodded.
