Joe was shocked to feel his armor getting pierced. He never expected that Richard's attack would be so powerful. It managed to penetrate through his defense.

Joe immediately got his balance back and initiated another skill called. "Aero-shield"

It was a special defensive skill that can be used to defend against attacks.

"That aerial barrier is not going to help your case my friend. I hope you can do better than this." Richard said as he used the same skill again.

The attack penetrated through the aerial barrier and landed on Joe's body, blasting him back once again. Joe decided to rush in as soon as he managed to balance himself.

Since his defense was not effective, he had to compensate with his attacks.

Richard had a great set of skills, but something like "Space Pierce" required a good mount of space to be executed. Joe noticed this weak spot and decided to fight on close quarter.
