Liam felt his life slowly draining out. He was heavily injured, and the mana drain was too high due to the simultaneous attack to eliminate the Snow Bugs. He expected to deal with one of them, or at the very least one and injure the other so heavily that reinforcements could arrive. Little did he know that a third one would appear at the last second and stand before the weakened one.

Although he managed to injure both the enemies, the appearance of a third one diffused the situation and titled it entirely in the enemy's favour. He had no strength left to muster or escape from the clutches of an S-rank monster in its peak form.

The monster looked at Liam and roared out of rage. It could see that its fellow monsters had been critically injured by the being in front of it. He was mad, with anger boiling inside of him.
