Chapter 18

Lucy's pov

I am kind of regretting my decision to go back to my apartment. Sure I love my cute little place. Also my two big silly goofball dogs who live there with me are at home but not currently there at the moment. They are at a good friends of mines place. I have to stay strong knowing that I made the right decision for the both of us. Let's be honest I haven't even known him a full year yet. When I reach the steps of my place on my porch are anonymous flowers but I know who sent them. I get a nice looking vase and fill it with water placing the flowers in it. Smiling and shaking my head at the same time. Since I have an idea of who it could be for who sent it.

Even though there is no name indication but the Tulips are enough of an indication for me. He thinks that he's slick but I know the significance of that type of flower to him. Now time to get my babies from doggy daycare. Yes It's an actual thing that peoples animals go to. Mira since she loves animals but cant have any of her own runs the place. She's my friend that I was talking about earlier.

"Hey Mira,"I greet her walking in the door with their leashes and favorite toys that they really like. They rush to the entrance jumping on me causing me to fall on the floor. Stumbling back in surprise trying to adjust to their weight. Together they weigh about 162 pounds while i'm like 10 pounds less than they are. "Miss are you ok"someone who I can't see asked me. I must sure be a sight to see with me laughing on the floor. My hair and everything else is a mess like my things are splayed across the ground.

The person that I soon realize is a man extends his hand to me. I accept his help lifting myself off of the floor. When I look up I see the 2nd most handsome man in the world after Laxus. Stop comparing them to each other I tell myself. Smiling and thanking him before grabbing my dogs latching them on their leashes so that that doesn't happen again. I recognize him a bit but I must be imagining it. That's why I just let it go walking back to my house since its so close. I need to get them home and I can't afford anymore distractions.

As soon as I get home I change straight into my bum clothes. Booty shorts with a tank top that I have no bra on underneath it. Who cares though I'm alone anyway. That's when I crawled up on the couch watching my all time favorite show. It's actually called the bachelor which funny enough my dogs watch with me. Don't judge me just because i'm lonely and have to have them watch with me. Just as I start to get settled the doorbell rings internally I groan but grudgingly get up. Before that I jump up not checking the peep hole first and just open it. Once I see who's on the other side of the door I try to close it. A hand shoots out stopping me in my tracks. He takes the opportunity to invite himself right in. I realize that at this moment he finally took me all in. I feel self conscious under his dark eyes. I shift my feet from side to side looking down memorizing everything about the floor.

As long as it means I don't have to look at him just yet if I'm not ready. Finally deciding to book it upstairs I take the chance which I made it to the top. "Ha take that, I did track bitch" I taunt from the top of the steps I'm definitely not changing in front of Laxus. I pull a long sleeve sweatshirt and leggings over my previous outfit. Surprisingly I don't think that he reacted to my comment at all. Since my dog seems to be alerted that a guest was in the house. So he was a little preoccupied when they run at him full speed in what I call a hostile manner. That's why it's so unexpected what they do next. The dogs tackle him with kisses and love. Mine tend to not like anyone so that caught me off guard.

Well they are great judges of character especially mine. "Sunny and Daisy off, I'm so sorry" I quickly apologized to him. "No it's ok I have a dog at home that's mine so I love dogs." He says while dusting himself off with all of the fur that was on him from them looking at me guilty. I didn't know that about him but I like it. My timer for the oven beeps me being the good hostess I am, offers him some chocolate chip cookies which he happily accepts. Automatically I give him a glass of milk along with myself. He inhaled 3 of the cookies somehow not choking on any of them. That's some kind of guy secret for anything food related that I'm not in on. I am nibbling on my first one which is funny. "Oh that is so good" when he takes his first bite I am watching him for his reaction. He moans and says "marry me" which catches me by surprise not my fault though it was unexpected. For some reason I blush having to look away from him.

What is Laxus doing here?

Why didn't Lucy check the peephole?

Who is that guy that she recognized?

Is he the same guy that she remembers?
