Chapter 31

Laxus pov

*the night before*

When I get to Lucy's place all the lights are turned on but no one answers the door. I try the door knob and it's unlocked so I let myself in. Managing to find her room. It looks so her with pink walls and painting. She looks so peaceful sleeping on one side of the bed. Only the right side with her dogs waking her on either side. They met me once so they're cool. Trying not disturb her I gather all her stuff up in boxes. Returning for her and carrying her to the car with the dogs following but not stopping me. I allow them to come with all of us in the car. They start whining while leaving her. I put her in the room right next to mine so she's close by. It's ready with lavender sheets and pearl white walls. There is a walk-in closet and a huge bathroom with a shower. I set her down on the king-size bed and get to the door. I smile seeing her look looking so peaceful. Her chest rising and falling as she drifts deeper into a calm sleep. I sigh turning around to kiss her on the forehead.

Lucy's pov

*morning after*

I jolt awake about to scream when I realized that I'm in an unfamiliar situation. I don't recognize anything around me and I freeze on the spot. Until I look around I can see Sunny and Daisy my dogs have never left my side this entire time. They are on the foot of my bed and I know that I'm safe if they let me go without putting up a fight. Also willingly coming with someone so chances are that I know this person and they do too. I put on this way too big shirt for me. It kind of smells like..... Laxus? I replayed the events in my head of last night probably leaving out something important. I throw my feet off the bed and feel the coolness of the tile underneath me. Going to investigate the situation outside this room I hear him yelling and rush towards the noise.

Quickly realizing that its not a bad type of yelling when I reach him. It doesn't wake me up but it's loud as hell. I've been extra clingy lately so I practically launch myself at him. Burying my face in his chest and wrapping around him like a koala. When I realized what I'm in my entire face heats up. I'm in nothing but the shirt with nothing underneath. Reluctantly I unwrap myself from him rather slowly. It's so weird how much of a couple we act like it's crazy. Like me wanting to go bowling with him and his friends. I know all their dates since we went to college together. Even most of the boys except dark and twisty. The girls including me circle each other screaming in excitement. Laxus is cringing next to me "I'm so sorry I totally forgot about your sensitive hearing" turning towards him and I reached up to stroke his cheek.

He catches my hand not letting me go. Now things just got 10 times more awkward than before. When we get inside Mira is like "BITCH! Why didn't you tell us about him?" now time to walk into the interrogation of a lifetime lets go. "I know, I know I'm sorry! It just happened so quick I didn't have a chance to tell you. I fill them in on all of the details that they have for me with the questions that they are shooting out left and right. They all learn closer in anticipation waiting for me to spill it. "Did you, you know yet?" Levy wiggle her eyebrows at me. Out of everyone she is the last person I expected to say that.

"You know get it on" when I'm not catching the hint Erza adds in that. "Uhhh No!" a bit flustered because of that. Laxus definitely heard this whole conversation but didn't say anything when he came back just swiftly pulls me right onto his lap. I stopped talking after that. Unfortunately Laxus realizes it too and murmurs encouraging things in my ears. Drawing soothing circles on my back. Leaving goosebumps in his trail wherever there is exposed skin. I blame it on how cold it is in here. I feel bad for making him pay for my food when he asks everyone what they want breaking our moment. My phone just conveniently happened to ring at that time.

Why did Laxus get mad?

Did they hear the girls?

How do the boys know each other?
