Chapter 2

My class schedule is amazing. Most of my classes starts late in the morning which gives me a lot of time and I take my sleep very seriously.

I feel like a god waking up this morning, no alarm clock needed, laying on this soft satin sheet. I scoot to the edge of the bed and check the time on my phone, I purse my lips. Perfect. I have about an hour to get ready and grab a drink from the school cafeteria where I have my own private caterer.

I lay my bed and stroll down to the bathroom to take my bath. Stripping down and twist the faucet I let the water rain down on me. It's usually this time of the day where I can be at peace with my own thoughts.

I've always been with Helen, my parents weren't always in the picture.

My parents have an empire to run so they're often not at home.

My dad and mom both being the CEO of Conor tech and co. are practically workaholics. The office is their second home, sometimes I don't see them for weeks because they always busy making a fortune.

But when they're at home, they're seen arguing over basically anything like the current stock market crash, nasty employees, horrible clients and even little things like broken coffee machine . Most times I wonder if they're married because they were in love.

I cleanse myself. My dark brown is drenched and sticking to my body, I grab a towel and wrapped it around my body. Slipping into a nice top and a skinny jeans. I make a mental note of calling my parents. I know they're are probably too busy to answer my call, but I should probably call anyway just to let them know how I'm doing.

I dial my mom's number, she answers on the second ring. Her voice is business like over the phone. "Katherine Conor".

I take a deep breath. " Hi Mom".

"Hello baby". Her voice turns soft. "How's moving in with Cara".

"It's fine" I say sighing.

I snatch my bag and head to the living room, I scanned around for Helen and found her on the kitchen island with a cup of tea. Her hair Cascades over her shoulder in a tangled heap, but nevertheless she still looks amazing.

"I've already unpacked all my stuff".

" that's good baby". She murmured.

"yeah". I reply. I could tell she was distracted. She must have been doing something important before I disturbed her with a call.

"I'm about to leave for campus right now", unsure of what else to say.

"Can I talk to Dad? is he there". I say forcing a smile on my face. I wait for a response. I hear the sound of keyboard before she finally replies. "I don't think now's a good time".

I raised my eyebrows in confusion. "why". "just little business matters, nothing to worry about". My mom said.

"oh", I said, "tell him I said hi".

" Will do baby".

I slump into the chair dejected. Helen leans forward from the opposite of the table, Concern filling her eyes. She lifts her shoulder and a smile passes her face.

"It's nothing" I said.

It is fine. I'm fine. I cannot convince myself otherwise.

Helen stands up and tugs at my hand, grabbing her keys."Let's go".

Our apartment is less than twenty minutes to the university. I carpooled with Helen in her brand new BMW. Our cars is absolutely amazeballs. I also have my own set of cars. My parents are the third richest people in New York, while my grand parents were the second. The richest is a man named Carrington and he has a daughter whom I haven't seen and haven't even bothered looking up at all.

After parking a few blocks away, Helen and I walk to the building in front of us.

The freshmen can easily be spotted among the students that roam because they are always the overexcited ones.

Helen and I grab some smoothies before heading to class. Helen is in her second year in the university, she's a business major. She's studying business because one day she's going to take over our parents empire and also our grandparents. My grandparents only gave birth to one child which is my father and that's why we're are pretty rich even for college students.

We sit on a bench, quietly sipping our drinks and admiring the school.

I look at the time and saw that I was almost late for my first class. "crap, I should be heading to class". I mutter throwing the cup in the trash can beside me.

I grab my bag and sling it over my shoulder. I bat my eyelashes at her. "well I'm going to go first, don't want to be late on my first day".

I drag myself into creative writing class and about fifteen minutes early and I pick the most unnoticeable seat in the class. The class is already half full and people were staring at me because they probably know who I am. I'm pretty famous you know because of the business and all that.

Okay perhaps I should have branched out this morning and make some Friends because they were all to scares to approach me.

Then my eye caught someone entering the class. Keeping an eye on skye, she's in this class too. wow.

I think I'm going to have an interesting school years.
