The truth about her birth

"Are you really kicking me out?" Liam looked in horror at Lucia who was pushing him out of the room.

'Heh..' Ryan who was standing aloof at her side looked with a smug face since Lucia was not urging him to go away like she did with Liam.

He felt it was some sort of accomplishment and a satisfaction filled his heart for no reason.

"What about him?" Feeling hurt by her action Liam pointed at Ryan who just stood with his hands crossed on his chest.

"Oh, Don't worry. He is going to follow you soon." Lucia huffed as she answered since pushing a man almost more than half as heavier as her was not something easy to do.

Hearing her answer Ryan almost hit his head on the door when he jerked up from the place he was at.

"Me as well??" He looked at her with confused eyes that seemed to be questioning her. He was after all, a famous celebrity, national husband of many girls and also the perfect son in law in eyes of many mother and grand mothers.

"Yes you too." Lucia did not show and courtesy as Ryan was also kicked out of the house right after kicking out Liam.

After spending some time with the two big babies, she had understood one thing. No matter how big, aloof, cold and unapproachable they looked, at the end of the day they were also human like her.

"Both of you go home fast and...." She remembered what had happened before on the corridor with the two guys.

"And don't go somewhere else..also be careful in public....ahemm.." Clearing her throat she suggested them in the best way she could.

Both Liam and Ryan who knew she had gravely misunderstood the situations looked at each other with surprised pikachu face. But that was how they missed the face of Lucia trying to hold back her laughter at them.

Liam: 'She misunderstood!'

Ryan: ' She definitely did!'

Lucia looked at their interactions and felt them being too bold, even showing her puppy love in front when she just warned them.

"Wait Lu..." Liam called her but the door was slammed right into their face.

whoosh~~~~~...

They could only feel the chilly night air blow.

As they were about to leave the door slowly opened and a head poked outside form the small opening.

" Thank you for today." Lucia was slightly flushing on the tip of her ear as thanked then.

"I have never seen my mom this happy." Her voice was heavy as if she was shouldering too much of a burden.

She smiled at both of them sweetly before she closed the door once again.

Right on their face!!!

'Thump...Thump!!'

Ryan noticed her fleeting smile only for a bit but he felt as if he had seen it somewhere and it was precious; something very precious for him.

The only thing that responded to her smile was the only living organ of the body.

His heart!

Knowingly or unknowingly, his heart rate has increased by 2% of its normal beating rate.

And that was something not normal from any view or perspective.

" Let's go." Ryan spoke in a cold voice as of trying to suppress his emotions from leaking out.

He did not know why but he felt like crying in relief and happiness when he saw her smile like that.

Was it weird??

Definitely it was something more than juts weird.

He needed to control the overwhelming emotions welling up inside him, churning his stomach in the most painful way he could imagine.

"Hey buddy, you alright?" Hearing the change in his voice Liam suddenly let go off his childish behavior and whining and suddenly got serious.

" I am fine.." Taking a deep breathe Ryan let out a long sigh.

" I am just a little bit overwhelmed...nothing much you see." Trying to endure the unpleasant feeling that came along with that happy feeling Ryan staggered towards the stairs all the while keeping his cool.

"If you say so." Letting out another sigh Liam stood up from where he was and went to lend his shoulders to Ryan.

" But I can't help still worry about you, idiot kid." Liam stated as a sworn older brother of him.

"Heh..You are just some years older than me

dumb brother." Ryan felt his uneasiness slide away even if by a little bit.

Two tall figures were seen walking out of a normal looking apartment in a normal looking locality.

They finally left by driving the expensive car that belonged to a man with a heavy disguise of mask and goggles on.

......

"Lu lu, thank you for today." Her mother was waiting for her in the living room holding a picture book in her hand.

She had carefully arranged the flowers in the cupboards and all the best places she could find and honestly everything looked perfect with the way she had designed them.

"As long as you are happy mom." Lucia felt a little guilty about almost forgetting her birthday today. If she had not been reminded she would not have been able to see such a happy look in the worn out face of her mom.

Thinking about that, Lucia suddenly had the urge to give her a tight hug. A big and warm one pouring out all her emotions and guilts.

"Lu lu.." Her mother called her softly as she slowly patted her back and rubbed her hair.

"Hmmm??" She raised her head from the nook of her mother's neck and faced her.

"Smooch.."

A light kiss as soft as a dragonfly landing on water surface landed on her forehead. There was a warm feeling on her forehead, a feeling she had missed for so long.

Lucia hurriedly turned away from her mothers side and turned her back on her, the tip of her ears and nose getting red.

" Oh my, did you actually get shy because of my kiss?" Her mother looked at her with a teasing eye, even her voice sounded smug.

" No, I am not shy humph." Lucia retorted back hurriedly but did not dare turn back.

How could she when she could feel herself on verge of tears just because of a small kiss.

She had missed her for so long that until today she did not realize her mother was there..right there for her and whatever she lived through was just a sad dream that was best forgotten or so she prayed.

" Oh my, is my baby daughter acting brave now?" Mrs.Sovuyer gave a slight smile as she patted her back.

" I am grown up already mom." Lucia faced her suddenly. Since she did not like being called baby by her mother.

" Hmm...I know.." Giving a soft smile she nodded her head.

" You are already big, my baby daughter has grown up finally so Mom has to confess something to you."

" Are you finally getting married?" Lucia asked excited since she had always wanted her mother to find someone for herself. Someone who really loved her and not just a handsome guy with shitty personality.

" Me getting married?" She looked at her with big and round eyes showing her surprise and shock.

" I am too late for that dummy. " She smiled a little as she brought out the picture book she was looking at from before Lucia had arrived.

"Do you remember John..that scumbag?" Lucia frowned  upon hearing his name.

"He and I, we were once set to marry each other." Mrs. Sovuyer dropped the bomb like it was nothing.

"You and that piece of shit?" Lucia felt she was hallucinating. Her mother and that guy did not even match at all.

"Yes, We broke up because of one reason and I am glad I did." Mrs. Sovuyer gave a grin; the happy one.

"What reason?" Lucia was curious why her mother was brining up all of this now.

Mrs. Sovuyer did not say anything.

Turning the pages she halted at the spot where she was holding the 4 years old Lucia in her arms like a doll.

" Between that and me, I am cute right?" Lucia placed her palm on both side of her chin and acted cute when she compared herself with the photo.

" Both are you..hahaha..how can I choose? " Giving out an amused laughter she looked at the date on the photo.

"Honey, this date...do you remember?" She pointed at the date on the photo. It was the same day as her birthday.

"It's my birthday..Of course I know." Lucia replied and smiled a little.

Taking a deep breathe, Mrs. Sovuyer held her hands tightly on her palms and strikes them lightly as if comforting herself rather than Lucia.

"John, he did not like you when I first saw you." She spoke quietly. "So, I left him because I loved the daughter I had more than him."

Lucia calmly waited for her to speak but she had a bad feeling in her heart.

'If John isn't my dad, then who is it? Why does it feel so wrong? All of this?" Lucia waited with a dense cloud surrounding her heart.

Mrs. Sovuyer took a fine long breathe and broke the silence.

"This...This was the first time I met you honey."

"Come on don't joke Mom.." Lucia laughed at her joke. She was her mother after all. How could she meet her only when she was a 4years old kid.

"Honey, I am not joking." Holding back the emotions at bay she spoke once again.

"You are my lovely baby doll." She spoke rubbing Lucia's hand.

Lucia did not have to hear more but she could get the gist of it.

"Mom....." Lucia's voice cracked and felt herself unable to speak further than this.
