Chapter 10

Carina realized she was shivering . She didn't know for how long she had been standing outside Charles's door . After such a long day and so many emotions , she finally felt...sad . She wanted to be vulnerable , she wanted to rest her head on someone's shoulder and she wanted to cry . But she couldn't . She knew better than to show her weakness to others . Instead , she chose to take a walk around the castle . Everyone would ask why she was roaming around the halls when she was supposed to be on her marriage bed , with her husband . But she could care less .

She remembered her cousin Anna telling her ,"The Belles are the branch family of the royal family Capprell . They hold the title of the highest political family . They own a massive fortune , which will be divided into three parts . The least will go to the youngest , Nathan Belle ; the medium will go to the daughter , Cecilia Belle and the most part of the fortune will go to the eldest , Charles Belle . Charles is in line to become the head of the family after his mother , Lyanna Belle . But , if Lyanna Belle decides , she might make any of the other two children the head . It's all up to her .

Carina recalled her cousin advising her to 'bond' with Lyanna . And that was what she was going to do . She stopped in the middle of her tracks when a pair of green eyes met her . She stiffened .
