"He's gone", was all the doctor could say before horrified sounds escaped their lips . Thomas couldn't believe his ears . "You mean...he's dead ?" Cecilia asked , shock evident in her voice . Thomas nodded painfully . None had shed a tear yet . They were simply stunned . "The cause of death ?" Nathan asked . "He was poisoned ." Thomas gulped . "Of course . I knew it", Lyanna mumbled . "That witch ! She poisoned my son ! She murdered him !" She screamed , tears spilling out rapidly .

"Your husband has been announced dead . He was poisoned", Sophia said non-chalantly . Carina was shocked beyond imagination . "But he was fine right now , how could he...?" "You have a cruel fate . Mrs.Belle thinks you plotted this ." Carina gulped . "Why would she think that ?" "Because it's a perfect set up . Someone is trying to frame you ." Sophia bit her lip . She caressed Carina's cheek lightly ,"Don't worry . I'll protect you ." This was the first time in years she had shown affection towards her daughter .

A sudden knock on the door interrupted them . Thomas slowly entered , a letter in hand . Carina avoided his eyes . "What is it ?" Sophia asked . "Bad news", Thomas lowered his head .
