It wasn't long before the ASA responded to the attack on their moon base. I was in the middle of eating in the WPA cafeteria when a broadcast from President Huxley appeared on the screens around us. "Attention, WPA," he began, "we have received a threat from the ASA in response to our most recent act against them. Please listen carefully to the following message." The screen temporarily blurred out and changed to the ASA's message. A middle-aged man with a little bit of gray hair and slight balding was sitting at his desk in his office. "President Huxley," he began, "people of the WPA, people of the EPA: this is President Goldman of the ASA: you are treading dangerous waters. Following the attack on our moon base, you may think that you have the advantage in this war. You may think that you will be victorious, but you will not be. We are a far greater nation with more military power. Not only that, but we have far greater technological capabilities, such as more advanced methods of time travel. That being said, we will not hesitate to use the WCO's capabilities against you. We have not yet used our time travelling capabilities as part of our warfare, but we soon will if you do not cease to wage war on us. You may think you will be able to send your WPA agents to counter our attacks, but I assure you--finding our WCO agents will be like finding a needle in a haystack. Back off, and surrender now. You have three days to respond." With that, the video went blank. Everyone in the cafeteria was silent for a while before quietly murmuring to people next to them. I was expecting a call from someone any second, so I quickly shoved my last roll down my throat, chugged my milk, and made my way out of the noisy cafeteria. Before I knew it, a notification for a joint call with Dr. Radcliffe and President Huxley chimed on my iHolo. When I pressed "Accept Call," Huxley's and Radcliffe's faces popped up in separate windows of the hologram. As the call began, three more windows appeared, displaying Mary Anne, Rose, and Brandon. "Everyone, sorry to interrupt your schedules, but hopefully you saw my most recent message I sent to all of the WPA," President Huxley stated. "We don't have much time before the ASA strikes with time travelling warfare," Dr. Radcliffe added, "so we need to make the most out of our three days given to respond." "Will we be backing down, sir?" Rose cut in. "Absolutely not," said Huxley firmly. "We have three days to end the WCO, or else all hope is lost, and the free world loses another companion, weakening them. Meet me at three o'clock sharp in my meeting room to discuss the strategy for your final mission." With that, the call ended.
At three o'clock, I walked in as the other three agents on the team trickled in. In the meeting room, every seat was filled--except for the four seats for Mary Anne, Brandon, Rose, and myself--with top war strategists, the Vice President, Speaker of the House, and other military officials. This was going to be a very serious meeting, I could tell. Once everyone was seated, the lights in the room went very dim. I grasped onto Mary Anne's hand as we waited for President Huxley to begin speaking. All eyes were laid on him as he slowly paced back and forth in front of the hologram projection. "We have three days...three days to carry out a mission that will put them into the ground," Huxley said, sort of quietly. He then slammed his hand onto the table, raising his voice. "This is an even greater threat than the moon laser." He regained his composure, continuing. "I have spent the past couple of hours with our top war strategists--" he listed their names, pointing to them at the table. "--we have come up with a plan that the four of you, Mary Anne, Elijah, Brandon, and Rose, will carry out and lead. Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to infiltrate their capital city."
