Punishment

The classroom was big and there were 14 columns and 10 rows , so the 140 students had a spacious room and sat freely.

The room was also made in such a way that whatever the teacher or instructor spoke ,they could hear it from any corner of the room

The digi book was filled with organized information , it was filled with facts about normal and mutated plants and animals.

According to their threat levels ,there was information provided for each plants and animals,

Detailed information was available for every species, their most used elements, and they also mentioned every amount of nutrients available in them and simple ways to make them edible.

There was also information about beasts which should be absolutely avoided and ways to escape them.

There were also two other options available to them, a scan and identify option,

which allowed them to scan the species of organism in front of them and identify it and a holographic view option which allowed them to view the weak points and poisonous parts of powerful predators, carnivorous plants and poisonous plants.

The teacher was looking through his digi pad analyzing something while he said to his students to look at their lessons and read them for a bit.

'Eight people have failed their first test it seems, worthless brats!', muttered the teacher under his breath, carefully analyzing the reports of everyone in the classroom.

Fifteen minutes passed away, and the teacher told everyone to listen again.

'Rudolph, Trent, Lutia, Mandy, Brendon, Sheila, Henry and Sylvia, stand up cadets', said the teacher.

All the eight students stood up and looked at the teacher with puzzled looks on their faces.

'Congratulations '. The teacher looked at the students with a smile and glanced at his digi pad, marking something in it using his fingers.

All the students who stood up and raised their chests and felt a little happy, as if the teacher was going to award them.

All the students were looking at them, wondering what they had done to receive congrats, for they were with them all day, and they had not seen them do anything extraordinary.

Ben figured out who these students were. They were the ones who were causing a commotion regarding the theme of today's breakfast.

Suddenly the teacher started speaking again, still looking at his device.

'Congratulations on receiving punishment on your first day.'the teacher said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

The eight looked at the teacher with shock filled faces ,wondering what they had done.

'As I said before you must be able to eat all kinds of food , these eight were not willing to eat the food based on the theme', said the teacher with a stern face.

'But sir…', stammered some students, while others silently stood staring at the teacher.

'I won't hear any reasons from you , From tomorrow for a week you are to help the server bots in preparing food for your dormitory.

If you are told to butcher an animal you must do it, you will be made to clean ,you will learn to cook , you will be made to serve and if any one of you is not able to meet the tasks of server bots you will be punished again severely .

Punishments may vary according to every work done by the individual during the work.

I am sure that your appetites will change after serving one week .

Again from the start of the day to the end ,everyone will be monitored continuously and graded accordingly and those who cannot meet the requirements will be made to serve the next week and the punishments won't be the same,' said the teacher giving out a creepy sinister smile.

'Sergeant Drake, on what basis will we be graded?,' asked one student sitting in the class's front.

'I cannot reveal on what basis you will be graded, but I will say one thing ;know what you eat and eat what you can ', said the teacher and told everyone their class was over.

Ben slowly moved to exit the classroom, while some students were doing the same, whereas others were forming groups and were talking.

Some boys had already got themselves a girlfriend, and they were flirting, minding no one and were also blocking the paths to the exit.

'Excuse me!', said Ben, trying to move forward, as a flirty boy was blocking his path, trying to hit on a girl

Ben minded nothing. He just went towards the exit, as if it was the only mission in his head.

He felt strange emotions filling up his head , giving him strange thoughts. Ben was among the students of his age after 5 years, so it was a little too much for him .

He never got to experience a normal school life , now he was drafted to fight aliens instead of a normal college life, he never got to experience romance , action or any other normal stuff which he should have experienced.

Allison had also experienced a different lifestyle , she was from a place where nature taught lessons , not school , so she was different than normal girls and acted more or less like a boy.

Allison caught up with Ben and slowly followed him. Hundred and forty students exiting the class caused quite a hassle.

'I don't know why they grade us though , are we not the useless class?', asked Allison slowly leaning into Ben's ears.

Allison was a little taller than Ben ,and didn't care about personal space , she was a wild ,strong woman.

So when Ben heard Allison's voice close to his ears, he got startled, but quickly recovered.

'I think they grade us to provide us privilege accordingly. Think about it , there are lots of floors above us with super-duper rooms , equipments and some other stuff.

They also have the elite class , which we still know little about', said Ben, simultaneously, trying to remember the path to the elemental training class as it was their next class.

'Yeah, the instructors mentioned the floors when I entered the academy. Now it makes sense.

I think we should eat only up to our required calories, and maintain our body every day properly, I think that was what the instructor was trying to hint at', said Allison, trying to keep up with Ben's fast pace after leaving the class.

Both of them looked like siblings when they walked down the way to the classroom and some students were looking at them strangely,

seeing two super buffed siblings walking side by side was a strange sight for them, and anyone would have felt the same.

They soon reached the elemental training classroom assigned to them.
