An awkward silence took over the room as Aether sat on the couch right across from Lord Ladran. "Is something the matter?" He asked with a wicked smile as the scholar breathed out a sigh.

"No, not at all." He replied. "It's just been a busy day you see, what with having to lie to the authorities and all that." His lips formed a thin line. "Next time, at least try to make it look like an accident." He grumbled.

Aether chuckled. "I wasn't given much choice, he was a loud one. I couldn't let the guards at the gate hear us now, could I?" He turned his attention on Lady Luna. "Did you find something out ma'am?"

Lady Luna sighed. "Well – kind of. But explain what you just spoke about first." She said, glaring at both of them.

"I just happened to break a dagger in half, that's all." Aether said, shooting lord Ladran a glance as a mischievous smile appeared on his lips.
