Foreboding Darkness (1)

Silence was all that could be heard as they sat in silence. Hours had passed since the news of the wildmagic related accident had reached them.

"My god, I'm bored!" Seth cried out, breaking the silence. He crumpled a piece of paper and threw across the tent. The crumpled paper bounced off the ground and landed on Erika's lap.

"Stop throwing stuff." Erika put the paper aside and closed her eyes.

"But this is so boring – why can't we go back to the academy? It's literally right there!" He pointed towards the tent's interior wall. If the cloth wasn't there, the academy would have clearly been in their sight.

"Because reasons. Stop asking stupid questions." Erika sighed. "Seriously though, they could at least keep us in the loop." She pouted and leaned her back against the cloth wall of the tent.
