"Divine protection!" Luna shouted at the top of her lungs and as a golden sphere formed around her, leapt into the water. She still instinctively held her breath as the water hit the golden sphere, unable to get to her.

Her eyes scoured the depths as she began to sink slowly. Where was he? She was sure she had seen him fall into the water somewhere around here. Was he too wounded to swim out?

A silver glimmer caught her eyes down below. With a single motion, she directed her spell to take her there. As she approached the glimmer, her eyes widened. "Hell no, you don't get to die on me now!" she hissed through her teeth as she caught his hand, reaching for the distant surface.

She pulled him into the protective shell of her spell and they floated up as quickly as she could safely do so. As soon as they touched solid ground, she laid him down on the sandy shore and touched his neck, searching for a pulse.
