The creature was blind, Soren concluded, as it continued bombarding the general direction of the coliseum. Good, he thought. That explained why they hadn't been attacked even once since they moved away from the plaza, and the vicinity of the coliseum.
He was both relieved, and worried by the creature's apparent blindness though. If it couldn't see, how had it known where to attack in the first place? He couldn't help but feel that there was something he was missing. Something obvious that he had somehow overlooked.
"This place is good." Luna's voice sounded. They were perhaps twenty meters away from the creature's body, and now that they were so close to it, it seemed even larger. It's snake like body extended to far into the distance that Soren couldn't even see where its tail ended.
"We'll cover you, so start casting." Ingrid's voice sounded. They were speaking with low voices. She gestured the other defenders to form a circle around Luna.
