"No, I'm not." Iris sighed. "Aether will kill every single black mage he comes across, probably on my Father's orders." She gestured them to follow her. "But even he isn't omnipotent, some may slip away from him, and if that happened, we could be in danger, so watch your surroundings."
They walked in shocked silence for a while. Everyone was thinking, everyone was stunned. Fen's dark, troubled expression rivalled that of Erika. Mara seemed more scared than anything, and Freya was trying to put her thoughts back in order, though her attempts seemed to be in vain.
On one hand, she had trouble imagining Aether kill anyone. On the other hand, the way he killed the beast that killed Sir Soren was still fresh in her mind. It was almost as if Aether was two people at once. Aether, the student, and Aether, the killer.
