Bright golden light lit up the caverns as it obscured the silhouette stepping out of the orb. Aether covered his eyes and looked away as the golden light blinded him for a split second. It was too bright to look at, almost as if all the light trapped within the orb was escaping at that time.
He gritted his teeth and stole a glance through his fingers.
As he spotted the being stepping out of the orb, his eyes widened.
A feminine figure was standing at the very edge of the hole in the orb. She wobbled back and worth as he watched, then took a step forward, into the air. Aether drew a sharp breath as he expected her to plummet to the ground.
The air rippled beneath her feet, like the surface of a lake. She walked in the air seemingly effortlessly. The light shining from the orb slowly began to fade, allowing Aether to see properly again. He quickly looked through his magnifying spell and drew a sharp breath.
