The Ambush

The last thing Daniel saw before fainting was the other heroes came rushing to Daniel's side. Even Catherine was worried. Myra rushed to his side and knelt beside him. "Is he ok?" she asked. "Give him space" Catherine said. "Klara, get some water" Klara nodded and immediately rushed of to get the necessary things. Dennis checked Daniel's heartbeat.

He let out a gasp. "What is it dennis?" asked Igor. A tear drop fell on Daniel's torn clothes. Dennis stood up and took a step back. Igor checked for a heartbeat but... there wasn't one. Klara returned with the water. "Here's the-"

"It's not necessary" Catherine said. Dennis eyed her. "How could you be so... calm!?" he said angrily. "Because..." she started and pointed at Daniel. The child of Darknes groaned and stirred. He eventually sat up. Everyone swarmed him. Everyone was laughing. Harold was very happy to see Daniel awake. "You scared me, you know" said Dennis Catherine just smiled. She closed her eyes and lifted her hand up. Flowers and grass started to grow next to Daniel. Everyone was patiently watching what would happen next.

It wasn't often Catherine would use her powers. Daniel's wounds and gnashes started to heal. Soon, all his wounds disappeared. It looked as if he had never got into a fight with a shape shifting monster and nearly got killed. Daniel stood up and thanked Catherine.

"Well, that was fun" he said sarcastically and laughed. Myra was happy to see Daniel in a good mood after that emotional rollercoaster. She didn't know what to say to him so she run up to him and hugged Daniel. Everyone was gwaking at them. "I missed you" Myra said. Daniel stared at her long and hard. Daniel never realised how beautiful she was. "I missed you too" he whispered...

A FEW DAYS LATER:

"So what's the plan?" asked Alicia. She was sitting on a log far away from the fire. She didn't like heat. She covered her log with shards of ice. 'I wonder what she thinks of Dennis' Daniel thought to himself. "Not sure, Alicia" Edger responded. He was practicing controlling land masses of wind.

All the heroes were pumped up after they saw what Daniel can do. They knew he was on a whole new level, and so they didn't want to fall behind. They wanted to unlock their weapons and grow stronger. It was the only way to defeat this rising evil, The Lord of Destruction.

Daniel was sitting on a log near the fire, inspecting Sciodes in stone form. He remembered the guy from his vision. 'I wonder who he is' Daniel thought. Myra came and sat next to him. Things were pretty awkward between them.

But Harold saved the day. He joined them immediately after. "Uh, shoud we be looking for something?" he asked. "Well, we found the stone. Mrs Katrina didn't give us any furthur instructions." Daniel said. "Maybe we should be looking for something" Myra said.

"Yeah, your right" Daniel said. "Tomorrow, we should split up and see if we can find anything. Maybe there is someone here who can help us. Catherine said she knew someone here" Myra and Harold nodded.

9:30pm:

The heroes gathered around the campfire. They were enjoying their food when Catherine stood up and came into the centre "We need a plan to go foward" she said. Everybody else stopped their chatter. When Catherine is talking, it's not smart to ignore her. "Yeah, I agree" Edger said. "You said you knew someone around here" he said. "I do, and tomorrow, we are going to see my mother, she lives in the plains, which is not far from here"

"That sounds like a plan" Daniel said, indicating the end of that conversion. But then they all heard footsteps coming towards them. Some bushes moved and then, silence. "Did anybody else hear that?" asked Harold nervously. "ye-" before Alicia could say anything, someone came through the bushes. It was a middle-aged man. He was wearing armour and he had a razor sharp boomerang slung to his back. He had a smile plastered on his face but Daniel instantly knew that it was fake. Everyone else realised it as well.

They were suddenly alert. "Hello children, I am Lloyd, and I'm here to escort you to the King's Castle. "What if we don't want to go and see your king?" Edger said with a smirk. "I don't think you have a choice" the man who calls himself Lloyd said gleefully. His sudden happiness became replaced with madness. Daniel brought out Sciodes. The stone transformed into his staff in an instance. "Oh, that won't be necessary, Daniel" said Lloyd. "How did you know-" Daniel was cut of by the sudden ambush.

Ten or so soldiers with armour and various weapons jumped on them. Before they could react, their hands were tyed up securely. But Harold managed to run away before they could take hold of him. The other heroes heard a shout "I'll come back for you, I promise" the shout from Harold said. "He's weak" Lloyd said, "Don't waste your time with him" His face turned into a scrowl. "I've heard alot about you school" he said. "You WILL come with us" he said.

Daniel knew they were trapped. Escape was nearly impossible. There only hope was Harold. He felt sorry for the poor kid. He has to work out how to save his friends and survive the night all on his own. Daniel was determined to make there escape. But Daniel couldn't deny that he was curious. 'Who was this King' Daniel thought. The others were probably thinking the same thing because they all had that confusion in their eyes.

Lloyd and his men pulled the heroes away into the forest, leaving Harold hiding behind a tree, shivering...
