The end of Shi Yu (5)

The ounce of strength that she had built for herself for the past week crumbled in an instant.

Her body was weak to begin with and coupled with the pain that tore through her chest, she felt life quickly escaping from her body. She could hold the heartbreak no longer. She fell to the floor in a disheveled heap as her grief poured out in a flood of uncontrollable tears.

Complete hopelessness converted into tears that rained down her face at a lightning speed. The sound of wailing and suffering echoed throughout the room.

 The gut wrenching sobs tore through Xie Ming's chest making him frown.

His dark gaze fell upon Luo Ya making her feel uncomfortable all over sudden. Did he suddenly feel sorry for the b*tch? Her expression turned ugly.

She clenched her fists tightly resulting to her nails digging into her skin making it red and painful. Her eyes welled up due to anger, resentment and frustration.

It had always been as clear as the day to her that Xie Ming was only using her despite her little tricks to make his wife believe that they had been having an affair.

Not even once had he ever laid a finger on her despite all the years of trying to capture his attention.

" Brother Ming I... "

" Jin! "

She was about to say something when his cold voice interrupted her and before she could react, she suddenly saw the bodyguard in black addressed as Jin pointing a silver gun at the back of her head.

 Luo Ya froze and her eyes bulged in shock and before she could say something, the trigger went off and a loud bang roared in the room before Luo Ya's lifeless body fell on the floor with a thud as a stream of blood dyed the white floor red. She died, her lifeless eyes still in shock and disbelief.

" Deliver her to the Shi family's second branch. Inform them that our deal is off, I've fulfilled everything on my end."

Xie Ming straightened his suit and coldly walked out of the prison cell without a second glance.

As Shi Yu's defeated figure surfaced in his mind, there wasn't much of an expression on his mechanic face.

' My good wife you can only hope that in your next life you can get reincarnated into a good family, your only mistake was being born into your family. Hopefully if I get a chance, I'll eliminate every obstacle to your happiness. But before I leave this life, I promise to return the pain you've suffered ten times to everyone who has hurt you, including myself... '

When Shi Yu opened her eyes next, she was lying on a small bed in a dilapidated house miles away from the capital.

She was breathing her last.

She should have guessed that Xie Ming had been colluding with the Shi family's second branch to destroy the main house.

She was covered in bruises and burns, her limbs were broken and she was dying due to excessive blood loss.

 After Xie Ming's people delivered her to the Shi family's second branch, not only had she been used by her good cousin as a lab rat to test her newly created medicines, they had also extracted a significant amount of her blood and set the lab on fire to burn her alive.

If not for her best friend, she'd have died in the fire although there wasn't much difference with her current condition. She was dying anyway.

 Her rare blood was something researchers would kill to obtain including her good cousin Shi Yuyan and her master!

 "Yu, no matter if it cost my life, I'm going to make sure that they all pay with their lives! "

Jonas swore gnashing his teeth as he helplessly watched his best friend slowly breathing her last. His red eyes welled up in pain and sadness as he clenched his fists in hatred till his knuckles turned white.

Shi Yu's vision was blurry as she gazed at her only friend, yet it couldn't hide the warmth in her eyes.

She smiled at him bitterly and slightly shook her heavy head. She was sad but what else could she do? She didn't want him to live in hatred. It was useless. She wanted him to lead a happy life.

What an irony, she couldn't even say her last words to him since her tongue had been pulled out.

Outside the house, the rain was getting heavier and soon the drizzle turned into a storm. A white lightening struck across the sky brightening the entire area. The brightness disappeared within a second, and the sky was swallowed by darkness. The sound of thundering arose and it seemed as if the entire earth was shivering.

The wind seemed to be roaring, as if singing an elegy for someone's impending death.

As she silently listened as her heart slowly beat it's last, Shi Yu's heart was filled with bitterness and hatred that could scorch the whole world and everything included.

She died with immense loath and resentment for the whole world that dealt with the innocent her in the most inhumane way.

The whole world should hope that she wouldn't have a chance to reincarnate!

If she was ever given a second life, she'd burn down the entire earth with her own hands! She'd destroy everyone's happiness and make them regret their existence after all, they had all mocked her and watched as she begged helplessly to be saved without lifting their fingers.

A cold and bitter place filled with blood and cries of anguish in every corner of the world, whether innocent or evil, would be the only thing to satisfy her bloodlust!
