We have been in Willow for a couple of months and Ace's girlfriend's due date was coming near. The only thing to move everyone was the bus and the military jeep Aron had. It was in no shape or form to move out stuff and party. So we had to figure out something or Ace will leave without a thought of his life. So Jade and I spent nights planning to leave in a couple of days from now.
And we learn that the Blood Cult was still hunting down for members across the state. I hated the thought of people being tortured and killed for their entertainment. All I could do at this point was figure out how I could save some of these people. Right now my friends needed me to help them get to West Plains.
"Jade!" I called out as the feeling of warmth fell on my skin.
"What now?" she called while seeing me fall to the ground. Weaken and starting to feel warm a bit. "Lize!"
"I'm fine," I coughed, "just need a help with planning a place and what to do for the bus."
"Hayhay got the boys to get her scrap and a welder for the bus. She seemed interested in it for the last couple of days." Jade smiled.
"Good, but you should take a break to heal," I told her since she had never gotten the chance to say goodbye. But the look gave me a different answer, an answer of wanting revenge. I knew the letter told her about him being drugged by Madison or the Bitch in our terms. She just wanted them to break up and for Jade to be miserable for the rest of her life.
"Lize?" Jade spoke out.
"Hmm?" I answered from my daze into the wall. I could tell that I was getting close, but didn't want anyone to know about it.
"You should get the written plans done and help with the packing," she replied.
"Sounds like fun." I groan as I tried to get back up again.
When she left me there near the desk filled with paperwork. No idea what place would be big enough or safe to live in. The thought of Wally World came to mind but was it safe for us to be at? It had plenty of space for living areas and maybe have a good amount of food for days. Lots of the freezer food would be thrown away, but they had dry food in most of the areas. The bathrooms were fine, but we'll have to make a shower system. Making a wall around it will take days, but it would be perfect place to hold back. There is room for getting both a garden and maybe animals for food.
I wrote everything down, but the bus was going to take days to build. But my thoughts were drawn out by Marry screaming. Running over to see if she was alright, but she was holding her hands on her head. Rocking back and forth to comfort her pain, so I walked over and hugged her.
"The smell...oh...smell..." she mumbled.
"It's okay...." I replied.
"It's on me and on you..." she cried.
The thought of her words stayed in my head. She was crying about a smell on both of us, but she didn't say what it was about. I thought of maybe we needed a shower, but we took one the night before. So what was she talking about?
"Does Hayhay have the smell?" I asked.
"No..." she sniffed.
"What does it smell like?" I questioned again.
"Dead...dead things," she replied.
The only thing was the bite and the idea of me killing so many people a long time ago. But right now I was having a fever and was weak to my knees. It didn't take long for me to fall to the ground. Tired and weak from this bite and it felt like it wanted to take over. Take my humanity and turn me into a creature that kills without a thought. My breath became cold and slow as I felt my body go numb. Was I going to be a walking corpse?
Marry screamed over and over for someone, but no one came. I laid there thinking what was going to happen to me. The feeling of my body was like death and the sounds around me were nothing more. I looked over to see Aron running in. Shaking me to wake up, but I didn't move an inch as Jade took Hayhay. I watch as the others ran towards us and pulled Marry away from me. I was taken to my room again to lay there. Was this going to be my death day or will I come out of it?
