Mo Shan's surprise

After the party was over, Xiao Hui was in the hall, sitting along with his grandparents. Yun Xi was sitting there too, but she had to leave when Butler Li called for her.

She was confused as to why he called her suddenly. When she went near him, he told her, “Young Miss, a maid forgot her watch in your room after cleaning it. She wanted to get it back, but Young Master is already there. The maid doesn’t want to anger Young Master. Can you please get that watch for her?”

Yun Xi didn’t think much of it and readily agreed. She then walked upstairs to her and Mo Shan’s bedroom.

The lights were turned off in the room. She wondered if Mo Shan was not inside, because he always used to turn on the lights until he was sleeping. So, she thought that Mo Shan was probably not in the room.

The switch to lights was just next to the door, so she could easily find the way to it. She turned the switch on, but there were still no lights in the room. “Is it broken?” She wondered.
