Chapter 17: Revenge

The next morning, I left early because I didn’t want to face him now. The stay was becoming more and more awkward as the days were passing, I was impatiently waiting for the agreed period to end so that this misery of mine would end.

John didn’t visit the company today because he had some work to do at his own place,but he didn’t forget to ask about my well-being and that softened me. He was such a great guy that if I wasn’t in love with that arrogant Italian bastard, then I would have already started flirting with him. The day went quite busy and at the end of the day, when I got the chance to look at my phone; there were 20 missed calls from Alexander and 2 missed calls from Saira. She didn’t come today so I decided to call her after dinner while before it; I would talk to Alexander and settle down everything once and for all!

I freshened up and brewed coffee for myself. Then I went to study because I knew where I could find him at this hour, but when I lifted my hand to knock, the sound of a woman stopped me. I started listening closely, although I know eavesdropping is a bad habit but I can’t help.

“Oh come on Alex! I came all the way here to invite you, just to hear your refusal. Please humor me a little bit!” She mocked.

“Alexander scoffed. ” Lucy, you know very well that I don’t like these types of parties. Also what would I say after meeting your brother about me being there after so many years, huh?!” My hands balled into fists.

“Shut up. And where’s that come from? And by the way, we also get the chance to freshen up our minds as well as our hearts to plan our future together.” She stated dreamily and I snickered.

“Yeah, whatever. Lucy, we’ll talk about it somewhere else as Isabella already had arrived so you should be cautious....” His words were like a hot wax for my ears. My eyes sting with fresh tears but I wiped them angrily and stepped away from the door without listening further.

I came to my room and turned off my phone, then I closed the lights of the room and sat down beside the window. He wanted me to forget everything and continue our relationship, look past everything and give him a chance when he go at my back and fuck any woman who can open her legs for him to crawl in…. He’s a hypocrite, an asshole… I felt hatred for him as he just proved himself to be like every other man. Now, I’ll tell him how highly mistaken he is!

I was writing a message while brewing coffee for me when Alexander entered the kitchen and stopped in his tracks when he saw me.

“I thought you went to sleep early today.” He commented after a minute and I just shrugged in response.

“I….uh… I am going to Italy tomorrow evening. So, you’ll be on your own here until my return.” He said and I looked up at him after sending the message.

“I know!” I replied.

“How?”

“I have my ways. Anyway, have a safe flight!” I picked up my coffee and then tried to cross him to exit the kitchen but he stopped me by grabbing my arm.

“Can I ask you why you’re behaving so cold towards me these days?” He was desperate but I wasn’t in the mood to answer his questions.

“No, you can’t. And for the record, I am also moving out of here tomorrow as I’ll not return here after my working hours once over. So don’t forget to lock this place before leaving.” I responded dryly and gently pulled away from his grip.

“You’re moving out? But we signed a contract and…..” he tried to reason but I cut him off.

“You violated it that night when you suggested to me about our reunion.” I said nonchalantly. Suddenly, he pulled me towards him and I almost lost my balance.

“What the hell are yo……” I started but he silenced me by claiming my lips forcibly. When I didn’t respond, he groaned with frustration and I pushed him away from me. His lips were swollen and his cheeks were flushed. I licked my lips to relieve the stinging sensation of the sudden hot kiss, his eyes darkened with the action and I unexpectedly slapped him. I stunned both of us by slapping him like that but I didn’t feel any regret after it.

“You slapped me for?” He looked at me with shock and hurt on his face but I didn’t look away.

“For the sexual harassment and the imposition. You have no right on me and never will be because when you had it, you misused it and are still trying to, but now, I wouldn’t allow you to manipulate me anymore. I’m done with you, Mr.Alexander Salvatore! Go and fuck some other woman’s pussy because mine is not on sale…” My eyes were blazing out and my heart was pounding rapidly in my chest from the strong emotions which I was going through at that time.

“Isabella you’re making a mistake.” He responded angrily but I showed him my middle finger in response. “Fuck Off, Alexander!” and then I left the kitchen and him, fuming inside and out!

When I returned to my room, my phone rang notifying me about a message and I unlocked the phone to see the reply of Jan, responding to my previous message.

“Hey, I’m really happy to see your message and you’re most definitely welcome at my place for stay, as long as you want. So excited to see you again, thank you!”

I typed back. “Great! Then I’ll meet you at your place after 8pm. Have a good day, Jan!”

A devious smirk stretched on my lips; ‘Watch me, Alex. I’ll make you regret your actions against me and break you like you broke me….!’
