Extra-chapter 25.5

It does feel strange.

He was certain that this is the first time he met Ms. Grosvenor. But why does it feel like they've known each other?

'Did I just imagine it?' Rae thought and noticed that Yana suddenly ran away.

"Is Miss Yana alright?" Asked Father Stephen.

"Maybe she'll look for the watch. I'll go after her. Thank you and nice meeting you again." He smiled and bowed politely before he went back to the lass's house.

He knocked several times but she wasn't responding.

"Hmm... that's strange..." He mumbled and decided to go through her window.

'She'll be mad about this but I'll deal with that later.' He thought and went inside the window which is fortunately open.

"Yana?" He called and looked around but saw no sign of her.

Then, he noticed the golden pocket watch on the floor.

"This must be it." He picked it up and examined the skull symbol and its strange letters carved around it.

Suddenly, he heard a crashing sound of windows from the other side.

He rushed and saw a woman in black holding the little boy in her arm. She has the golden cross symbol on both sides of her shoulders, which means she's a hunter.

"Hey! What are you doing? Who are you?!" He exclaimed which sent the huntress in alert and quickly made an escape, dragging Zaman with her.

He was about to follow them when Damien stopped him.

"Wait! Rae, there's something you need to know!" He gasped.

"What is it?"

"The pocket watch which the kid mentioned, it's something very dangerous. It originally belongs to the hunters. My hunch is that Zaman stole it from them, that's why the huntress is after him. So if I were you, I'll consider saving that boy." Damien explained.

"I'll... think about it. Thanks." He smiled before he left.

He doesn't have much time to spare and contemplate. After all, the truth is nearby and within his reach.

As they waited patiently in the midst of the cold, suddenly, Yana's body glowed in white light.

"W-what's happening!?" She panicked.

"Could it be... you're about to return in your time? Then, they've succeeded!" The vampire beamed.

The lass blinked, "Really? Then, I can go home now!" She glanced at the vampire who gave her a gentle smile.

"Wait! Before you go, I just wanted to say..." He took a deep breath, "I'm sorry for making you feel useless and for always making you wait... Yana."

'Huh? How does he know my name? I don't remember giving it to him.' She thought, 'C-could it be that he's-!' the moment she gazed at him, she saw a portion of his face.

He may have those bright red eyes and mature features, but his warm smile and the small mole on the left side of his lips made her realize this vampire's identity. She wanted to ask him something. But when she was about to reach him, the light shone brightly and completely swallowed her.

The next thing that happened, she was standing in an abandoned building. But what's more surprising was the sight before her where a woman in black was pressing her lips on Rae.

'Huh? Wait, what...?' She looked confused but can't bear to look away.

Even the woman's wearing that black face mask, there's still this heavyweight inside her chest that suffocates her.

"I'll be waiting for you in the future... Elliot." She heard her say.

'She called Rae on his third name? Who is she?'

The pang of pain grew stronger and made her bit her lower lip. It was as if something stabbed her heart with a knife on the sight she just witnessed.

Then, the woman was surrounded by bright light and slowly vanished.

'What... was that?' Yana thought and glanced at Rae who's been staring blankly. He must've been shocked the way she does.

"Rae?" She called.

The snowstorm has finally ended and disappeared like it didn't exist at all. The temperature their country originally has gone back to normal.

As he looked from above, a light appeared and from there, he saw a figure falling from the night sky. Just like how his instincts tell him to do, he jumped high and caught that petite body in his arms as if he already knew who it was.

"Welcome back, Aria." He smiled and landed on the top of a building.

Even half of her face is covered with her face mask, he can tell how she smiled faintly. Then, he noticed her bleeding shoulder.

"You're wounded!" He said and removed her coat for a while. Using his power, he took the bullet out and closed her wound using her blood.

"There, all better." He sighed in relief, "That was close. You could've lost much blood than that."

The huntress looked away and blushed, "Thanks... but I didn't even ask you to heal me, Vampire King." She stole a glance at this vampire in front of her.

A strong wind came and passed by as it blew his hood away. His bloody red hair swayed from the strong gust of wind.

A smirk slowly drawn on his lips, "Don't mention it."
