Chapter 13: In my blood!

"I hope you're the best child in your club that's chasing us." Said Proxtere as soon as Dustin grappled to the top but another miniature chasm stood between them. Dustin was thinking up theories of how he got himself on the other side of the gap. "You're chasing something out of a fairytale." Dustin replied as he was surveying the area, looking for a way over. The villain was baffled that he figured him out and was aware of artifacts until he noticed the pretty, shining one he was wearing on his arm. "This is why it pays to have connections in the world. The A.I.S found a repository ages ago." Proxtere revealed to Dustin, hearing this made his brows go up and eyes widened. "There is absolutely zero chance that's true, zero chance they have a leak, it— can't be…" Dustin replied with a tone that revealed the horror he felt. "Has your faith in them been shattered?" Proxtere taunted as Dustin's reaction cracked him up. The Crimson Sherlock was having a hard time trying to theorize how they could have let information as valuable as what was revealed to him be leaked. "It isn't true, nice try criminal, but you're not going to leave here without facing me and answering for what you've done either with your life or in a jury of your peers, it's up to you! Doesn't matter to me." Dustin disregarded his words and declared as he formed a stance. Proxtere lifted himself off the ground, hands up but lowered to his hips and eyes gray as Dustin prepped himself believing Proxtere was going to launch himself at him, he recognized the Artifact he had equipped granting him his powers, the Duster coat. Dustin eased his way into a stance based on a martial art that would allow him to utilize agility. Proxtere sent himself soaring at the investigator and dropped flipping, suddenly Dustin felt unexpected gusts of wind from behind him. He was able to roll out of the way.

"Prepare to get your shit rocked!" Said Dae-shim as he went on a flurry of slashes and thrusts after transforming his gift disguised as a tree branch into a katana before they went on the offensive, Dae-shim and Jun-suh were aggravated by their opponent's effortless evasion. Derek observed and realized their relentless aggression and teamwork had Lowelle locked in on evasion, he couldn't counter, he was worried about Low's life but he noticed his mentor had a smirk on his face as if he was enjoying himself. "Quit moving, bastard!" Derek heard from Dae-shim with inhuman aggression, he never figured a person could become so wild. "We can't give up but we can't affect the mind reader, he has to run out of stamina at some point!" Jun-suh yelled in the heat of this humiliating situation for them. "He'll run out of a lifespan!" Dae-shim yelled as Lowelle was far more worried about him. Some semblance of Exhaustion eventually hit Jun-suh, Lowelle took advantage of a reckless move on Dae-shim's part instead, he disabled his leg with a low kick as he dodged, slowing him down, before he broke an arm of his from another reckless slash. Finishing Dae-shim off, Lowelle blasted him in his mid jaw bone with only enough force to make him lose consciousness. He fell over, dropping his gift. Jun-suh saw it and was stuck in disbelief seeing his brother lose and humiliated. Lowelle walked towards the final brother, Jun-suh, as he backed himself away from his orange and black haired combatant holding his annoying smirk on his face but still held his katana firm in a basic stance, after hearing his gasp and reaction, with his hands in his long coat's pocket.

"This place doesn't seem like it holds any piece of a puzzle that blocks the path. Unlike the A.I.S you've got the wrong information." Dustin taunted Proxtere in return as he dodged blasts of powerful dark winds. "They've been getting the wrong information for years, if I don't find it, my new apprentices will succeed." Proxtere replied before he lifted large rocks within the mysterious mountain location and sent them flying towards Dustin, he blocked through the last, they came flying at him too quick to dodge. He threw the first at his head, Dustin ducked under, the next few were intended for the rest of him. "You're going to have to become more creative than that, I dare you to toss a building at me next!" Dustin reacted to his newly revealed ability. The villain got excited as his opponent was proving his physical ability matched his intellect. "Perhaps you're worthy of a hand to hand bout with me, how do you think your team's handling mine?" Proxtere acknowledged then tried to play mind games with his stalker, it didn't work, Dustin sidestepped to create distance while simultaneously dodging Proxtere's attempt at a leg takedown before vanishing behind him. "Doesn't seem like you want a hand to hand, you can fight as unfair as you want, a true winner isn't riled by any tricks losers need to cower behind. Your team's likely in cuffs by now." Dustin taunted and asserted as he kept his straight face and mind focused on Justice against his elusive windy foe. "Unlikely." Proxtere replied as he turned around and generated as powerful winds as he could, causing Dustin to blow into the chasm after holding his feet on the ground for as long as he possibly could as the winds gained strength until it overwhelmed him.
