Chapter 65: Graduation and appreciation!

Alone in the Founder's personal collection room only the older family have access to enter and view, the eldest Wiley child found himself on his phone scrolling through an Illinois celebrity's social media page until he stumbled upon news that he figured was grand. He clicked off the page and dived into his contacts where he held her number. He called without hesitantly and as the phone continued to ring, the hero found himself asking question after question until he noticed it stopped. He felt a sense of relief yet a slight feeling of being downtrodden as another thought blasted into his mind abruptly before his phone began to ring with his custom ringtone that was his favorite band which began playing until he fixed his gaze on the ID and realized she was calling him back. "Just between you and me, I've got something to say!" Derek briefly sang along in the moment filled with the thrill that he felt by finally having the chance to hear back from her after a few months of distractions and silence. Derek clears his throat right before he answers and speaks. "Yep. And— Yes, Ma'am?" The vaporous heir greeted calmly. Theria Blaunchey began chuckling. "That was so cute. How've ya been?" The heroic heir heard Theria Blaunchey reply as he was calling himself a clown as silent as he could and listened to her response. Derek pulled himself together and petted Fenella who looked out towards the horizon as they looked out with the mansion standing slightly taller than most of the forest itself. "I— saw that you posted some news about your— pa, and I wanted to check in on you…?" The vaporous heir replied with a blend of feeling unsure and genuine sorrow. Theria Blaunchey recognized zero fakery yet she did hear slight hesitancy in his tone. "Thanks. It was— actually, please stay on the phone with me all night, I think that I need to escape right now. Wanna repay the favor from last time, ashy boy?" Theria Blaunchey replied as he realized that he was lifting her spirit up according to her voice and he gave his own slight smile before the heir of a heroic legacy and heir to an enterprise simultaneously turned on their video. Derek realized the woman that he was speaking with was in the process of literally escaping from somewhere as he heard sirens and saw darkness. Theria shushed him before he realized that she was already on top of an Illinois building and walking. "Aware of the post on the official Blaunchey enterprises gramstamp page?" Theria asked as she continued stepping. Derek clicked off the tongue cord app they had previously switched over to in order to video chat, conveniently still running perfectly fine regardless, then went back to grampstamp and searched for what she had told him. Derek found himself shocked yet a realization after he swiftly gathered clues. "A scandal involving your mom and uncle?! No way!" Derek reacted with genuine concern and shock, "I'm guessing the reckless Pep-bouncer has involvement too, right?" Theria heard Derek ask with a sudden seriousness to him. The only heroine that the vaporous hero finds himself disapproving. "Oh, sit down, little boy. Don't wanna hear it right now." Said Pep-bouncer after Theria handed her phone over after she asked for it. Derek held the top of his nose before lightly sighing agitated by recollecting their first bust together. Theria mutes herself explaining why she's canceling their routine for that night, Pep-bouncer understood and left. "If you're about to go into any trouble right now, blink twice, I'll be there faster than you can get away with a third one!" Derek promised with his voice filled with urgency. Theria let out a chuckle that the hero of Chaelb himself found cute. Theria informed Derek that she canceled and informed him of their plans. "She exposed the scandalous frauds that were conspiring against my pa. This has been one messy event." Theria informed Derek as she walked back inside. Derek's attitude from hearing the information on it was the same as Theria's before he decided to switch topics. "So— what did you two have planned?" Derek inquired with a curious tone. Theria sighed. "The board has elected me CEO as a lot of them are close family friends— in case of certain situations surprising me, she's been teaching me survival tips, self-defense, spotting concealed dangers and stuff of that sort." Theria assured Derek allowing him to feel relieved. Derek thought back to their first encounter, prior to her switching alignments from villain to hero and how happy her family were while feeling thankful towards him. "I'm thankful to her then— just yeah, unless there's no choice, don't follow her into any sort of danger. She works alone for a particular reason." Derek replied prior to warning Theria. The newly elected CEO of her family's business nodded her head assuring the heir to the Wiley branch of the Heroics Oath Purlieu. A moment of awkward silence soared into the moment as they gazed into each other's eyes with Derek being the first to further it. Theria inched slightly closer to her screen as Derek couldn't stop himself from smiling. "Tell me that you plan to visit Justice sometime soon?" Theria urged and attempted to ask in ways Derek found cute after that by telling him of the times and memories they could have in her town of Illinois. Derek showed her the sunset that she was missing out on. "I'm honored the princess of Justice has invited me over but I'm out of my own town right now and— obligated by a promise to my family. Older and younger cousins, aunts and uncles, grandfolks. You know." Derek responded, regardless of the reason, he felt horrible for having to suggest in a year as his eagerness and his enthusiasm of meeting back up with her had a tight grip on him. Theria accepted his proposition of meeting in person sometime the next year with an enthusiastic celebration and one that rivaled his own he noticed. "I also have something I want to tell you but I'll have it figured out hopefully by the time that I get you that plane ticket here!" Theria finished ecstatically toned.

The Founder and host had transformed his beloved training facility they used as an arena the previous week into a grand gathering facility and his help assisted with the decorations surrounding the countless family members of each that weren't present in the first week. The Eight Patriarchs of heroism on the continent of the living anomalous that spans throughout generations before them and as they gather with a firm hold of their shared goal, hoping it would far past their days alive. Each patriarchal representative of the eight families with a bond filled with legacy and inspirational stories alongside expectations to uphold and family which shares it. "I can't believe that our babies have agreed to use their thrilling ascendancy in service of others!" The Patriarch of the Pendold family, Rhett, as he cried out next to his wife before she was happy to let him rest his head on her shoulder as she gently caressed it. The wife patted his back as well as she reminded him in a soft tone until towards the end. "Ansel, Axel, Maxwell and Lexy are obviously going to enjoy saving the world and their adventures alongside that. You've trained them far longer than anyone. Calm your tears of joy." Emaline Pendold asked her husband. Cullen, the patriarch of the Jepson family held his wife's hand, Lenore Jepson gazing into the crowd towards their children, eldest son Tristan, second oldest daughter Branwen, third eldest daughter Lethia and the youngest child Mara Jepson in silence as they gazed back towards them each possessing similar dead eyes as their father. Tristan stood as the only child who had inherited a strange birthmark from his father which resembles a black mask and wished he could return to Louisiana, Derek could see that he was the one who wanted to be present the least. "Man, Cull and his family have been resembling a spirit wanderer for a while." Caleb Hayes verbalized his observation as he tried not to look at his friend and his family with their eyes closed and heads down. The Patriarch's wife softly smacked his shoulder for his attention before she towards their own children in the crowd. "Amazed still, even though you've grown up beside him?" The Patriarch's wife, a woman who has perfected the muscle on her body named Kaylin Hayes, which protects Pennsylvania cities with the assistance of her family, Noa, Stephen, Cedric and Lisa. Hayes' father stared at one of his closest friends with worry he shoved away. "He wasn't always like this— but let's focus on congratulating Cedric and Lisa for finishing their training and Noa and Stephen for their heroics." Caleb Hayes suggested to his wife Kaylin as he threw a thumbs up out towards them. Ryom Throndson belonging to nearly the busiest family who regularly and often train to compete in world class martial arts tournaments for various combat focused companies. He owns a gym in the city that he defends which is renowned for high quality and breeding the best. The Patriarch's wife has skipped the quinquennial reunion to continue training for a special and final competition for a championship. After speaking with Ray, he finally decides to allow his sister and her husband, Aryah and Rex at the top standing next to him to goof off and keep him company as well since his older sister had been wondering what it was like and he granted her curiosity. The Patriarch, Kaden, of the Williams branch of the Heroics Oath Purlieu sat next to his wife with his arms crossed as he set his gaze on his son who stood next to his late friend's father, Philip Wiley rather than his younger brother, Wilel Williams at their seating section. The Patriarch's wife noticed and observed that he felt distraught from the fact that he displays it by toying around with his ability of authority over one of the many invisible layers of reality that had been taught to every child of his, Jayden, Alec and Wilel Williams in various forms. "You're able to find out the answer to anything that's true, which allows you to be the greatest Detective, interrogator and info dealer for the other families, just gather if they love you and if not then just apologize after this event." Sara Williams suggested to her husband as he continued to draw the answers in and out of the layer that holds them. Resting his head on his left hand, Kaden considers the final piece of her advice but worries if it is too late and what he considers humiliating would be for naught. "I've already gathered for Jayden and despite our disagreements that drove him away early, I've received a firm yes. Though— Alec isn't nearly as open to forgiving as his older brother." Kaden replied as he quit activating his power. Reynard took his seat coincidentally, however for him as well thankfully, next to Derek's seat. The former JinJunyë officer realized every other fellow who had their seat had a wife except for him, Derek and the Smokey Heir's uncle. Derek looked over and used his fluency in sign language to deliver him a message twisted his way. "I'll have children in five years." Derek reminded Reynard that he promised this to the Heroic Oath Purlieu before he joined. Reynard shrugged his shoulders, sat back in his seat with his arms crossed before throwing out a swift thumbs up near his lap much to Derek's curiosity over whether he understood and his shock as he briefly assumed he did in fact, as his helped expression to convey to the ninth patriarch of the Heroics Oath Purlieu. The founder of the heroic oath Purlieu walked to the edge with his microphone in hand prepared to speak. "First, I would love to begin this graduation ceremony and in the second half our appreciation ceremony with the hope that you'd give an applause to our Patriarchs and their incredible wives as well as their inspiration!" Founder A.D.J shouted into his microphone as the family, extended family, older family and any younger. The number that ranged from into the twenties roared and cheered on every leader sitting at the top where he was speaking to them from above.
