The Oracle

Never in my life had I ever believed in supernatural theories until now. Present happenings had clearly been very weird recently. Mom disappeared to no where and then, surprisingly, she turns out to be my Oracle. Her clothes were dazzling white, she was glowing every time she moved her arms. Strangely, she didn't open her eyes. Her appearance now made me feel like a lamb waiting to be killed. Somehow, I was frightened. I tried to utter the word "mom" but even before I opened my mouth, she was already speaking.

"Jahred! The great one have sent a saviour finally. Sit, master Jahred. Sit and have peace. "

"Mom? Who is Jahred, and what are you talking abo........ "

"listen master Jahred. Speak not in my presence. You must do as the great one says. Else, all shall perish. You have been picked from evil side to end evil. You must finish your task if you need whom you love to be saved. Else, you will watch them die on your sight. I, have spoken. "

"You, are the leader master Jahred. Your companions are waiting for you. Call them in I tell you the direction for you have no time. "

... Enters Tom and Angelina respectively.

"hail the guardian and the bait. (she calls Misheck, her son and says, he is your protection.)

Misheck enters and my mouth is left agape. Its my dad, at his young age. But with no memory of so. Almost as young as me, about twenty years.

"Misheck, and your guardians must take you to the nest of the spell. That is where you will find source of evil spell. You must unleash it and break the spell. You will pass through route 69. It is full of evil, but I will always come for you master Jahred whenever you are in my need. Fear not my Lord, but you must always stay in the house at night. For your company have been contaminated, they are vampires, blood thirsty monsters whenever darkness falls. Wear this, it will tell you whenever a vampire is close. Every time it glows blue, you will have to be extra careful. The one have spoken ". And she disappeared again.

It was about three o'clock in the evening. Few hours till it was dark. But that was ample time for a three miles journey along route 69.But never in our mind did we thought as to why the route 69 was afraid by everyone. Some said that the more you walked, the more you went dipper to your death. Perhaps we were so afraid that our fears came to life.

We walked for three hours then the sun started setting. It was time now to part with my company. We agreed that the journey shall continue in the morning. And so, I entered a nearby house to spend the night. Luckily, Misheck, My not yet dad, was still human, so he came with me. In the morning when I woke up, something strange had happened overnight. We were not in the house. We were in a very big anthill surrounded by millions of ants. None was harming us. In fact, it was like they were protecting us. I didn't understand. The moment Misheck woke up, he yelled so much that he disappointed the ants, and the ants angrily took action. They fed him. And he was dead.

Then I touched the chain given by my Oracle, my mother and I felt her power arriving. The ants were burning as she glowed. Few minutes later, she was so angry Saying that we will never make it. The journey was long but we had only walked about 100 metres for 3 hours. She then realised that Misheck was missing, she went nuts. That time, she cried and her tears fell as heavy stones. Somehow, she was glowing so much to the extent of blinding us and that was the moment my eyes were opened.

We were only a few metres away from the nest of evil spell. Its power was protecting it from being found. It created obstacles such as the deception spell and ant beast to hinder us. I don't know how I knew it was the nest. It was as if I had been overtaken by powerful spirit. I went near it to see clearly and to my disbelief, it was an old man sitting. I went around to see his face but the first thing I saw was his hands. They were fixed holding a guard, black in colour and again, somehow I knew that was the nest of the spell.

Then he spoke, "hah, their saviour arrives. Great job, but they forgot to mention unleashing the spell requires sacrifice. Ha hah,, saviour... "

His words drove my eyes to his face. It was MAYHEM. The town's mayor.
