Shock And Awe

Back in the ship Justin looked over the crew and saw something was terribly amiss. It looked less like a ship and more like floating scrap. The hull had what looked like acid damage and the crew were no better 7 out of 10 crew members had burns or had lost limbs.

the armory was destroyed and the commander looked horrible.

At ease, we have a problem and I need your help. your teleportation can get the wounded off the ship while we reconnect with the main fleet.

you are to take them back to the med ship and get them tended too. I will handle the Gamptid problem.

Aneli I need you here there are to many for me to fight alone but be ready in five.

Justin looked around wondering how he would take the group to the medical ship in one go.

Commander, what are we supposed to do with no armor or weapons? We can't fight them like this!

Staring out the cracked window, I think to myself, this is a suicide mission Gamptid are known for their venom and fast striking attacks. they are beefy and very hard to kill one on one let alone in a horde. Donning my dark sea armour I admire the armours red and black shine. It is made from the scales of a Spear eater God class titan. With a horned helm and a dark shine broadsword made of it's core. There are few weapon and armour sets left from the true God era and this is one of them. walking down the corridor to the launch bay the smoke from the melted hull fills my lungs. Babe. Aneli came around the corner, are you okay she asked rubbing my back to help ease the coughing. Yeah I replied with a raspy voice through stifled coughs. I'll be back for dinner make sure the kids get their sleep.

Scanning the battlefield I spotted two people fighting off three Gamptid. They weren't doing do well one of them was stuck in some sort of strange beam and the other was getting backed into a corner. without thinking I went over to the Gamptid in a flash of black light I took his head off. The second Gamptid reacted fast slashing at me with it's battle ax. Aarrgghhhh! flipping back wards I catch myself and examine the wound. My bones white sheen is visible as my body starts to heal.

Swwoosh the battle ax went right over my head as I narrowly doged the blow. I strike back with my sword hitting solid scales I hear a KaCha!! The Gamptid screeched as purple blood spilled from the broken scales.

I take that moment to stab the Gamptid's king core. The Gamptid squelched out one weak screech and died. I look down to see that the two people had manged to corner the third Gamptid. Quickly I summoned my bow firing an arrow at the Gamptid. The massive scaled torso of the beast caught fire as the arrow embedded into it's scales. The two people looked up in shock as the Gamptid's torso was torn to shreds in a burst of fire.

Floating in front of them I take a look around scanning the battlefield. More movement off to my last as Shaun is fighting off the black age Gamptid. Dodging around, Shaun was dancing around the Gamptid as if he was playing a game. Moving around like a blur the Gamptid's wings and weapon just fell short every swing.

thank you for that a male voice distracts me from the fight. looking toward the voice is the young man. Sleek skin and matted black hair told you this soldier was tired at first glance. The power he emmited told me he was an elite. What class was a different story though.

yeah thank you for that. a female voice drew my attention the the woman. Her hair was in a ponytail and her brow covered in sweat.

Don't mention it, I say turning my attention back to Shaun. Ever since he was ten he has had amazing potential. His abilities are unique in the fact that he has master only three skills and can take on an Ancient class beast. Nobody knows exactly what level he is anymore. Not looking back at the pair before me I teleported to Shaun.

Shaun! I yelled as I entered the battle. The black age Gamptid is one of the oldest in the species and one of the most powerful. At two levels from Ancient it shouldn't be a problem. This particular Gamptid seemed to have an uncanny ability to slow movement in a wide area. As soon as I got close to the Gamptid my true speed fell. My body felt as if I had a mountain on each limb. As I drew my sword to help Shaun the Gamptid took notice of me. Lurching forward at full speed the Gamptid charged at me screeching wildly as it flew. It was moving fast enough to confuse a normal person. Shaun paused to look over his shoulder spotting me as he backed away to recharge.

I took a step to the side avoiding the Gamptid. It let out a horrendous screech and quickly came at my chest again. Barely dodging it claws I swing my sword in a wide ark slicing horizontally through the air.

The sword swished by as the Gamptid easily doged the blow. It's eyes started to cast an orange and green light. Glaring at me it made a grunting noise as if it was laughing. I looked around and noticed that the battle field had thinned and everything touched by the light started decaying. Quickly backing up I drew my bow, aiming at the fiend I notched the dragon hair arrow. The Gamptid grunted some more looking at my weapon. i shot as soon as it started grunting the arrow flew through the air thudding into the Gamptids scales.

The Gamptid screeched again in pain lurching forward and knocking my bow out of my hands in the same motion. Shit! I yelled in surprise as my bow flew across space hitting some bodies. Summoning my spectral Sword I slash at the Gamptid using my skip blades ability. To the soldiers behind me all they saw was the blade appear in the Gamptid's chest. The Gamptid shrugged forward with purple blood pouring out of its mouth. It glared at me with hatred as the light slowly dimmed from it's eyes.

I look back to check on Shaun I notice he has been helping the wounded get to safety. He was currently patching up a young man who had been shot.

The acid had melted through his armour and bone. the best Shaun could do was fill the wound with bio-foam and stop the bleeding. Recalling my sword I head his way to help move the wounded. KAA-BOOM! The blast barreled it's way through the remains combatants near the cargo hold of the ship. Quickly scanning to see where the acid came from I notice there are no bodies, the ashes of the fallen soldiers Gamptid and human alike were floating by my visor. The Gamptid started to flee as a screech came from behind me, turning to look at the sound. I see endless destruction and a pair of gleaming black eyes. Those eyes made it feel like the world had ended, The weight of the power was enough to crush an entire planet. My armour started to creak as more of the Gamptid's power flowed onto me. Breaking eye contact the Gamptid lunged forward it's muscular arms leaving a trail of dead bodies behind it. The Gamptid opened its mouth with a wail so loud my ears started bleeding, Shaun was worse for ware the first screech had already damaged his ears. He motioned he was falling back. I flew forward as the Gamptid closed in. Thwack! KaCha! My armour cracked as the Gamptid's tail ran across my chest and flinging me into a piece of sheet metal from the ship. ooof. The hit made me see stars as I continued floating backwards, a blood curdling screech sounded directly Infront of me as the Gamptid face was finally shown I felt the blood drain from my face. The Gamptid was unknown, partially because it was thought extinct. Sir. I hear through static on my ear piece. Shaun what the hell is this thing?!

Sir. If I'm not mistaken that's a Shadow Gamptid it ha--- the connection to Shaun was interrupted and a small gurgling sound came from his end. Turning around I see three more Gamptid going towards Shaun's squad. a bright purple beam had already landed on the team as the got to the field all that remains was a bloody mess.

Damn it. Shaun you better be alive. I thought while backing away from the Shadow Gamptid. It screeched again spitting out black smoke. I backed away as fast as I could but the smoke still surrounded me. Tink! my armour fell off as the metal melted around the crack. Fuck! I thought to myself, I only have three sets of armour and I just lost the best one. You bitch! I yelled as I finally break out of the smoke. just as I was about to lunge to the Gamptid, Shaun pops up by me barely keeping level. That isn't... going to work sir. He gasped out through his teeth. That is only able to be killed by removing the core. Otherwise it will keep regenerating.

Okay but where the hell is it's core I say as an acid blob floats between us. I don't know sir! but we have to move it's found us!
