Jocelyn and Selene were settling down for the night when a big-winged creature dove into the shack. It quickly put down the two bodies on its shoulders and she dropped on the floor.
Carefully approaching the odd group the girls didn't know what to do.
"What are they?" Selene questioned poking the smaller winged figure. Jocelyn looked over them a moment.
"Well, this smaller winged individual is a demoness, but only partially," Jocelyn explained grabbing the girl under her arms and pulling her on a sheet near the corner of the shack.
"How can you tell?" Selene questioned. Grabbing a pillow and placing it under the girl's head. Being mindful of her horns.
Jocelyn began to examine the figure with the trench coat. She felt a familiar energy off of him.
Her eyes shot to his sunglass-covered face. Taking her hand, she was about to take off the glasses when his hand shot up and grab her wrist.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" He spoke throwing her hand aside. Jocelyn shook her head as he began to sit up.
"But I'm certain I'm correct about the curse," she says seeing his face turn to hers.
"How do you know about that?!" he growled getting in her face. Jocelyn took a deep breath.
"It's too long to explain now, but you don't need to fear ok?" She said slowly moving her hand to his dark glasses, Deamon flinched.
"I-I'll do it," He told her.
Taking off his glasses she saw him close his eyes. Jocelyn gently put her hands on his cheeks.
"It's ok, you can open them, You won't harm me." She encourages watching him tilt his head down and open his eyes.
Pushing his eyes to meet hers she looked at the intricate details of yellow, and green swirling together with specks of black littering the edges of his eyes.
"I was right, you have the basilisk curse," Jocelyn says seeing his face of pure shock.
"I haven't looked at someone like this in years" He spoke truthfully. She looked at him with a solemn look. "I assume the other eye had found you, after all, it doesn't affect you two." Jocelyn guessed.
The boy nodded and took his glasses and put them back on.
Clearing his throat he looked over to Luna watching them.
"So, what are you?" he asked brushing his coat off of debris from the fall. Selene groaned and Jocelyn only rolled her eyes at her friend.
"Oh boy, this will take a minute" Selene groaned flopping on her back on the wooden boards. Deamon looked at the girls expectantly.
"Well, I'm Jocelyn Janet and I'm a runaway 'Reaper Queen'. I basically come from a world based on the death of anything on earth." Jocelyn explains, walking over to Selene and kicking her softly in the arm.
"Forgive my reluctance. I'm a bit worn out from today so I'll keep it short and sweet," Selene started sitting up. "I'm Selene, and if I had to give it a name, I would call myself a Halfling. Half-Siren, Half-Human," She finished stretching and yawning.
"Well, I'm Deamon, I guess thanks are in order huh?" Shaking Jocelyn's hand.
Before Jocelyn could take her hand, Cooper began to groan. He tried to sit up but failed.
"Well he's awake," Deamon says coming up behind him and helping him sit up. Cooper looked disoriented. Selene watched the giant struggle. She frowned. Getting a bottle of water from a hidden crate she handed him the bottle.
"Here, this should help a bit," She said, looking at her he slightly nodded and took a huge gulp of the water. Cooper coughed a bit. "Here place him here," Jocelyn says moving a huge bundled-up sheet by still unconscious Ming. Cooper's eyes widened seeing the Demoness. Moving as fast as he was next to her. Checking her over.
"Is she ok?" He asked. Before he could answer Ming sat straight up and wide-eyed.
"COOPER!" Ming shouted as Deamon clapped his hand on her mouth.
"you're too loud," He said straight-faced as she frowned at her brother as the others tried to hold in their laughter.
