It's been just a day since Fisher Tiger left, but I'm feeling down and lonely. To escape from these feelings, I've decided to focus on training myself so that I can surprise him once he is back, I don't want to admit that it's also because a part of me fears he may not come back.
as I think that, I begin to plan on how to get the items necessary for my training.
One of the challenges of training observation Haki by yourself is that there is nobody there to throw random objects at you.
The first things we will need are some ropes and rocks to create our very own training machine.
As I was thinking about how to train without Fisher's help I came up with a solution: create a pendulum-like contraption that will make the rocks oscillate so that I can dodge them while bandaged.
Finding rocks was easy enough of a challenge, but the rope was another thing entirely.
the only moment when ropes were available to us was when we were working on the construction sites.
I needed to be fast and sneaky, I could easily hide a piece of rope under my shirt but one wasn't enough.
it took me some days because I wanted to be on the safe side, I admit that it could have been faster but whatever, better safe than sorry.
I found a conveniently placed cluster of iron bars that connected two buildings in an alley and decided to start getting myself busy.
I tied the ropes to the iron bars and subsequently the rocks to the other end.
the final result was a clusterfuck of rocks hanging from some iron bars with no apparent reason but served its purpose.
to start this machine, if you could call that thing in such a way, you just needed to hit one of the rocks and it would collide with the others in such a way every time it would be random.
it was hard at first since I still had to develop the skill necessary to not get them to beat the shit out of my face but eventually, I got the gist of it.
And so my training days began, I had to waver myself between working hours and training so I had at most 2 to 3 hours a day in which I could train.
another thing that I was itching to train was my ability with the sword.
I wanted to train in the way of the sword since I first landed my eyes on the amazing and majestic sword that one of the celestial dragons was bringing with him.
it was an elegant piece of art, golden in color in its hilt and with a ruby placed gracefully and tastefully on the end handle.
its blade was of a nighty black color, with a snake inlaid in it like a finishing touch to a canvas.
at the same time, you could almost see its thirst for blood in the sharp edge that adorned the blade.
I wanted that sword with all my might, I know that it probably won't ever happen, but a boy, or in this case a frog, could dream, right?
I am not a master and I don't know the way of the sword yet so the only thing that I could think of doing to train the sword is trying to hit the rocks with a stick while dodging.
I know, not so fancy, but I'd like to think I did my best.
------(1 month later)-----
it is the moment of truth, as I hear the alarm, I turn my head.
bigger mistake was never made by a mortal, as I slowly begin to understand my impending downfall a brick hits me square in the face.
Fisher Tiger was back.
as I removed my blindfold and headed out in the busy streets I could see the panic in the faces of everybody.
explosions were going off in the distance, you could hear the screams of the celestial dragons.
it was music to my ears, but I had an objective, find that sword and make it mine before heading out of this rotten place.
I don't know how to describe it but I could feel almost a pull from that sword telling me where to go.
I passed angry slavers, crazed celestial dragons trying to escape until almost everything went quiet.
there was only one big mansion in front of me, from what I could see devoid of life, everyone must have escaped because of the attack, it was pretty far away from the rest of the city, it took me almost 20 minutes to reach there.
as I opened the door, I was welcomed by luscious interiors, filled to the brim with gold and gems that adorned almost everything, it was to a point in which it was too much to even be considered beautiful.
I started to wonder in those long and enormous hallways, looking in every room for the sword.
I didn't even know how I knew that it was here but I was sure about that, I didn't even know what was so special about it but every finer of my body wanted it so bad that it almost ached.
after a long period of searching, here it was, in what seemed like the chamber of one of the celestial dragons that inhabited this house, the sword.
it was gracefully placed over a pedestal and located on a beautifully crafted wooden table at the side of the chamber.
I took it as soon as I could and it felt just right in my hands, nor heavy nor light.
I was gonna stare at it for the next hour but another explosion in the distance brought me out of my reverie.
I needed to go and meet up with Fisher, after all, he was here for me and I couldn't make him wait any longer.
I could already picture his face scowling at me for taking so long to meet him at our accorded place.
