Next was Shang Guan Tao and his disciples from the second branch. I turned towards Shang Guan Tao and mouthed are you ready as he nodded. I looked at Shang Gu and nodded. Shang Guan Tao had previously sent me a list of the students he wanted. All Shang Gu has to do is read those names out.

"Next is the second master Shang Guan Tao. Please step forward if your name is called: Wei Ying, Zi Shu, Yang Yang and Nian Chun," shouted Shang Gu as they all stepped forward. "From now on you be given the surname Shang Guan. Your master will be the second master Shang Guan Tao do you guys agree? " she asked as they all nodded.

"Shang Guan Wei Ying please serve tea to your master," ordered Shang Gu as Yu Xuan brought cups of tea on a tray. He stepped forward and knelt on the mat that was in front of Shang Guan Tao. Shang Guan Wei Ying took the tea from the tray and handed it to Shang Guan Tao saying "Shifu please drink,". Shang Guan Tao took the tea and smiled whilst drinking the tea. "From now on you will be the oldest in our branch. Here this is your present," mumbled Shang Guan Tao as he handed Wei Ying a fan. "This fan can be bonded when you drop some blood on it. It's not named yet. It will be bonded with your earth cultivation," explained Shang Guan Tao as Wei Ying took the fan and stepped back. "This fan was shifu's fan. You must make sure you look after it," I added as he nodded.

"Next is Shang Guan Zi Shu," muttered Shang Gu as he stepped forward and knelt. Yu Xuan handed him the tea and gave it to Zi Shu. "Shifu please," gestured Zi Shu as Tap didi took the tea. "Zi Shu you will be my second apprentice. This is your gift, you should name it. It would help if you bonded with it. You should take the music cultivation route with your sister Chang Xue," explained Tao didi as he handed Zi Shu a guzheng.

"Shang Guan Yang Yang your next," ordered Shang Gu as he stepped forward and handed Tao didi the tea. Shang Guan Tao took the tea and drank it. "Yang Yang this is your present. It's a sword called Qi Yao. Remember to bond with it," he announced as Yang Yang nodded. Yang Yang stepped backwards and stood in line with his other senior sister/ brother.

"Shang Guan Nian Chuan please serve tea," mumbled Shang Gu as he handed the tea to Tao didi. "Nian Chuan you are the youngest right now and you don't have a particular cultivation plan. What would you like to learn?" asked Tao didi. "I want to be like shifu. Can I learn ice cultivation?" he asked as Tao didi nodded. Tao didi looked inside his purse and handed Nian Chuan a small dagger. "Although it looks small but, when you bind with it will enter a shape that is suitable to your cultivation. Here these books are also for ice cultivation. Study them and come and find me next week," announced Shang Guan Tao as Nian Chuan nodded.

The five of them stood in a line and bowed before heading down from the stage.

Next was Shang Guan Yue. Shang Gu went off the stage to get some more tea. Yu Xuan will be the one announcing everything. "Next is the third master Shang Guan Yue," muttered Yu Xuan. The students that were gonna be Yue didi's apprenticeship all wanted to study medicine. These students have gone to ask Shang Guan Yue and he handed me a list of the students he wanted to accept. They were: Wei Xian, Feng Jiu, Ju Long and Yan Jing.
