Chapter 8

Camilla grabbed her purse, cell phone and car keys and went to Alex's house. She parked outside the gates, of course, and the butler asked her what was the matter, once Alex had not tell him anything about her coming over. She said it was Alex who called her, drunkenly. He asked her to wait a bit. After a few moments, he came back to the intercom and asked her to go to the front door, because Alex as asleep in his studies, and as he was drunk, the butler trusted she was speaking the truth, after all.

"Can I go in there?" She asked . The butler nodded, but followed after her. When she entered the room, Alex was practically snoring softly. She put her hand on his arm and called out to him. He didn't even move.

Camilla looked at the butler and shrugged, but then Alex grabbed her arm and pulled her to him. The butler, more than quickly, left the office. He didn't want to be there to witness the boss's antics.

"Finally my woman has arrived!" Alex spoke, lifting his head, dizzy.

"Oh, let me go! I thought you were here alone, needing help. I should have left when your butler told me you were asleep." She said, trying to break free.

"Gimme a kiss." He tried to pull her closer, but he was exhaling alcohol and Camilla hated it. She wrinkled her nose and used all the strength she had to push him away. As he was drunk, clearly he couldn't hold her properly, or have good motor control. Because of that, she managed to free herself from his embrace.

"You're drunk as a skunk! I hate it, Alex. If you intend to date me, you better start drinking with moderation!" She reprimanded, picking up her bag, which had fallen to the floor when he pulled her to him, and headed for the door. Alex tried to get up to go after her, but he tripped on the rug and fell face down on the floor. She turned to see what that noise had been and, seeing him sprawled, she ran back and tried to lift the man. Unsuccessful, she called for help.

"Yes, mada-" The butler arrived, and when he saw what the problem was, he ran to Alex. With Camilla's help, Alex was placed on the couch and the right side of his face was already turning red. "I'll go get some ice."

When the man returned, Camilla asked what his name was, while placing the ice pack on a grumpy Alex's face.

"Nice to meet you, Albert. You can call me Camilla." She said and held out her idle hand for him to shake. Albert was a little embarrassed, but he wouldn't leave the girl hanging.

"I'm going to prepare the master's bed and ask the gardener, Thomaz, to help me carry him upstairs. Excuse me." And with that, Albert was gone, leaving Camilla and Alex alone.

"Aah..." Alex groaned and Camilla rolled her eyes.

"As soon as we get you to bed, I'll get you a pain reliever, since you're awake." She said.

"That hurts." he grunted.

"I imagine, though, that's what you get for drinking so much that you couldn't even walk." She scolded him.

"Are you going to fight me or are you going to take care of me? Are you going to sleep tightly with me?" he asked tearfully. Camilla knew he was being dramatic.

"I can't stay here, Alex. Tomorrow, I'll work." She said.

"Can I have my phone, please?" He asked, trying to sit up, but Camila gently pushed his shoulder so that he remained lying down. She, who was previously crouched on the floor, got up and went to his desk, grabing his cell phone and handing it to Alex.

After a few minutes, Albert and Thomaz arrived and helped Alex get to his room. Camilla thanked them, as did Alex, and the two men left the couple alone. Albert came back only to deliver the medicine and left again.

"Now, I need to go, Alex." Camilla announced and he took her hand in his

"Sleep here." He asked and she raised her eyebrows.

"No."

"Wow, how cold..." he said, removing the ice pack from his face. "Even if I get hurt, you are not moved."

"Alex, enough drama. We've come to an agreement that we'll only date and maybe start having a relationship after my service to your company is over. Also, I will work tomorrow morning."

"I already spoke to Hopper. You don't have to go tomorrow." Alex said, and Camilla's mouth dropped open at his boldness. She felt the phone vibrate. She opened the bag, still looking at Alex, and then she looked at the screen on the device. Hopper was giving her the day off so she could relax after the great service she'd done.

"I didn't like that. You meddling in my work affairs without talking to me first!" She screamed and Alex felt his head throb in pain.

"Forgive me. I just wanted to spend more time with you." He said, lowly. Camilla felt bad for screaming. She could see he wasn't well. She took a deep breath.

"I will stay, but let this not happen again." She said, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I promise." He raised the hand that wasn't holding the ice pack and caressed Camilla's face.
