Chapter 7- Fired?

(Devonte's POV)

Ever since he got the message from his brother he was angry, he felt like destroying every single thing on earth but seeing her, Mariyah made him to be able to control it a little bit but he still threw his anger on her, he was frustrated.

When Mariyah left the room, Devonte buried his face in his palms, 'You are so dumb' he thought to himself , he sighed and continued to work 'She'll come back tomorrow.'

(Mariyah's POV)

It was a Tuesday, Mariyah woke up and didn't know what to do, 'I'm fired right?' she said to herself after arriving at the conclusion that she won't be going to Mortem anymore so she started searching for other jobs and then she found one, a job at a restaurant and the salary was okay, 'No time to waste.' she said and went to the restaurant, Acrade restaurant.

Upon arrival she was shocked, she didn't know the restaurant was such a classy one and it looked like rich people loved to eat there because she saw different expensive cars at the entrance, she had a talk with the manager and she got the job as a waitress so she started working.

As she approached a man's table she felt different, his aura was deadly, "May I take your order?" she asked, "Mariyah, aren't you my PA what are you doing here?" . She felt her heart stop beating for a moment. "B-Boss , you fired me remember?"she said , "Fired? Who fired you?" he chuckled, "You told me to get out of your office. " she said while trying to stand her ground. "You're not fired and you're coming with me now, to the office, the office you work in" he commanded. "But I-I work here now. ", "Oh really.." he said in a dark voice. Mariyah was filled with anxiety, she just stood there like a rock.

Before she knew it he grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the building and led her to his car, he pushed her in and slammed the door, Mariyah was horrified, what had happened to this man? He turned from friendly and angelic to hostile and annoying . 'Now I really hate you!" she said to herself
