At the restuarant, Mariyah and Max were talking to each other happily, it felt like they were the only people talking, as if the world didn't exist. "So.. you're going to permanently work here." he asked, anxiously waiting for the answer. "I honestly don't know, I might find another job." , "Well tomorrow is Saturday and there's this new movie that just came out." Max said , "Oh yes, I would really love to watch it." she replied. "I've already bought us the tickets!" he happily said. Mariyah was so joyful because she had always wanted to watch the movie, she hugged him out of excitement. "Thanks Max I can't wait.!" she said as she squeezed his body like a sponge.

Outside the restaurant, a black Mercedes could be seen, it stayed there until Mariyah left the restaurant and started to follow her. As she was walking, she noticed the car following her and immediately changed her route. She walked towards a police station but she was scared, scared at the fact that she might get kidnapped soon.

She walked into the police station and went to the nearest officer she could see. "A car's following me." she said without any introduction. The man stared at her like she was a maniac for some second then followed her outside the station but there was no car there, she was shocked but decided to go home since there was no point waiting.

When Mariyah got to her apartment, she locked the door and put on the blinds. "You really thought that would hold me, huh?" what was he doing in her house? "What do you want Devonte?" she said her voice sounding cold like ice. "I came here to tell you that you can't resign, you're making the same mistake again." he said but Mariyah just scoffed and started to laugh, almost like he just make a joke. "That was just so funny, but like it's my choice and I don't want to have anything in my life relating to you except your brother he's a nice person ya know?" . He remained silent, Mariyah had never spoken to him like that before, she even said Devin was better than him?? "Now please leave or else I 'll call the cops." The tables turned, it was his turn to laugh."And what would they do, arrest me?" Right, he was a very powerful man, who would arrest him. So she took the matter into her own hands and dragged him out of the apartment, he surprisingly didn't fight back he let her push him up and down like some rag.

The next day Mariyah was excited , she dressed up and wore makeup, something she rarely did just to look good for Max. He took her to the movie. 'Mend my Broken Heart.' a romantic film, at the end of the movie, Mariyah found herself in tears. Max was staring at the beauty in front of him. "No, don't cry it's just movie." he said. "It was just so emotional." she said as she cleaned the river flowing down her eyes. Before she knew it, they kissed, an unexpected one, she smiled realizing she was happy with Max being there with her.
