A Restful Night

(MC POV)

Sitting down on one of the beds I thought about how we should deal with this bed issue. At that time, almost like she had read my mind, Yao Ya spoke.

"I've got it! Why don't you and I sleep together so Zheng Da can have her own bed?"

"That's a good idea-"

"No! Zheng Da wants to sleep with Daddy!"

My left eye twitched after hearing what she called me, "I-it's papa… but you can't sleep with papa, okay? Look, you even get a bed all to yourself! Isn't that nice?"

"B-but it's scary being alone!"

"It's okay Mommy and D-daddy are still in the same room as you."

'*Sigh* I said daddy on accident, how am I supposed to stop her from calling me that now?'

"...O-ok daddy."

"So brother Cheng, how long do you plan to stay here?"

"Well since we're here we might as well do all we can. Let's enjoy ourselves but don't forget to find information about this place as well. We can leave the details for later and just go with the flow."

Noticing that Yao Ya was staring at the roof at this moment I asked her about it. "Is something wrong with the roof?"

"...No, no it's nothing to worry about."

"Hmm, ok!"

Once I saw that Zheng Da laid down in her bed and Yao Ya had laid down in mine, I blew out the light before joining them.

Soon after I laid down under the sheets of my bed a pair of arms hugged me from behind but that wasn't all. A comfortable and soft feeling was pushing itself against my back. Her body heat radiated and combined with mine ultimately warming us up together. Occasionally I felt her sultry breath breathing down my neck as her fingers wandered ever so slightly around my body.

In my vision was the bed Zheng Da slept on.

For some reason something compelled me to open up my eyes. Yet nothing really seemed different there was a weird sense that something had changed about the room.

Eventually I fell back asleep.

This time when I opened my eyes I noticed a difference. The bed Zheng Da was on was definitely closer to me than before. I thought about doing something, but I didn't know what to do in such a situation so instead I just ignored it.

The bed was even closer this time, but it didn't seem like it was harming anyone so back to sleep I went.

When I woke up our beds were conjoined to create a much bigger bed. Zheng Da slept soundly in front of me and Yao Ya seemed to quite enjoy her current sleeping position. I tried doing a few small movements to escape her clutches, but they were to no avail as she seemed to clamp down even harder as a result.

I didn't want to disturb them so I relented and let them have their way.

As I laid there I noticed that Zheng Da was starting to move; At first I thought she was going to wake up, but I guess not as all she did was reach her little arm out like she was searching for something.

Eventually she even started to move her entire body and her hand finally touched something. That thing being my face, her hand trailed down my neck before she applied force, pulling herself closer to me.

With her eyes still closed she whispered, "Daddy, so warm hehe" all the while still looking asleep.

My mind jolted awake from both her words and how close she had gotten to me.

Suddenly the arm which wrapped around my chest tightened a bit and the pressure from behind was too, especially from two areas near my shoulder blades. Her warm breath that I felt on my neck sent shivers down my spine.

Without anything I could do I just had to lay there and wait for them to wake up I guess.

(Su Daji POV)

-Before the trio went to sleep-

"I've got it! Why don't you and I sleep together so Zheng Da can have her own bed?"

'What!? Did that woman just say what I think she said?! My Beloved, you can't accept this woman's proposal! She clearly has ulterior motives!'

"That's a good idea-"

'Nooo! You took up that woman's bait! Are they really lovers?! No, no they can't be!'

"It's okay Mommy and D-daddy are still in the same room as you."

'Huh? Doesn't that confirm that my Beloved and that woman are together!? No, no it must just be something he said to comfort that child, yes that must be it!'

*Tat* *Tat* A few loose tiles rattled around me and immediately I replaced the tile I was peeking through.

I could still hear their conversation through the roof though and once I heard enough silence I took out the tile again.

It was dark, but I could see that they were all in their respective beds. Even after they had gotten in bed I didn't leave, instead I just continued to watch. Luckily I did as I spotted the way that woman was holding my beloved under the sheets. The way she did it so affectionately angered me greatly; She encompassed him with her arm around his chest, her mounds pressed up against his back, and her legs rubbing his. Although I couldn't see it directly because of the blanket I could tell from the movements she made behind him. This woman seems like she's already occupied a part of his heart; It would be quite difficult for him to easily forget about her.

'She really is his lover isn't she!? There's no way that he would just let anyone do this with him so this might be the only reason I can think of! Damn! How could I let another woman get to him first and not only that, she even found a spot in his heart before I could even meet him! This is unacceptable!! This life is just adding more and more problems!!'

Having watched them for an entire hour I didn't give myself any time to do anything else. My sole task was to watch them and see if any movements would occur from them. Unexpectedly the child moved, she opened her eyes and sat up before getting out of the bed.

Seeing her all of a sudden make a move confused me as I couldn't think of much of a motive for this child to move in the middle of the night no less.

She got out of bed and started to push her bed toward my Beloved's bed with small movements. Then she just casually went back to bed for some reason, pretending that she had never moved at all.

Only a moment later I saw my Beloved's head make a few micro movements before he awoke. Looking ahead of him a minor face of confusion appeared before he went back to sleep.

This set of events where that child moved the bed closer and my Beloved awoke happened several times over the course of the night. Until eventually her bed touched his, but that time he didn't wake up.

Several hours later my beloved finally woke up, but he didn't seem to dare move from his current position. The two females had pinned him in the middle. The child hugged him from the front, getting unnaturally close for some reason. If I didn't know better I might have thought something was going on between them, but that's impossible even with her abnormal assets, surely. It's all just my imagination bringing these weird feelings, perhaps my thoughts have gotten to a point where even children are a threat to me.

Seeing the child do that brought odd feelings, but when I saw the movement under that blanket I knew exactly what I was feeling. That woman hugged even closer to my Beloved and there was nothing I could do. From the way she moved, even if my beloved didn't notice I did, she's clearly faking her sleep! I can even see that she opened her eyes a sliver!

'I should be the one doing that with him! My Beloved do something, do something! The streets have been filled with light for at least 2 whole incense sticks! People have even started to exit the buildings! Damn you woman! You already had the whole night with him, at least wake up at the break of dawn!!!'

After 4 more excruciatingly long incense sticks worth of time, that woman acted like she had finally woken up.

She extended her arms with a yawn before placing her head on his shoulder. Such acts are starting to make me sick, but I'll do all this for more information. When I finally separate her from him it'll feel so satisfying. But currently they are all merely plans.

'Is this how it feels to be cucked? Do I have a green hat atop my head? No! He doesn't even know about me yet, so it's not possible, plus that saying is only for men right?! If anyone will have that feeling it'll be HER! But as his future TRUE lover I will have to teach him a little lesson so he won't do it again in the future.'

"Zheng Da, did you want to be with me so badly?"

"Mmhmm, I just wanted to be closer to you two! So can we keep our beds like this? Please!"

"Eh? That would be a little problematic wouldn't it?"

"Really? Sister Ya, what's the problem?"

"Yeah! What's the problem mommy? Daddy doesn't mind!"

"Well.. she might have more difficulties with space because of her.. Size. It becomes really hot if we all sleep together."

"Hmm? I suppose it would probably be better for cooling, but if she really wants to just let her."

"I wanna keep it like this! Like this!"

"...Alright then, I guess we'll keep it like this."

Seeing the slightly discontent look on her face made the corner of my mouth raise up a bit. It's not a victory I won personally, but anytime she loses it's a plus for me. I'm not gaining any distance on her with this, but at least it seems to be stumbling.

'Now, what's a good way to deface and destroy his current affection for her? Everyone has some kind of black history and as long as I can trace her origins I might be able to find something, but do I have enough time? They could be gone next week, next month, or even today so I have to be quick. I'll just go with what I thought of before.'

With a final look at my Beloved I changed my face before going to find a disposable group of mercenaries. They shouldn't be too powerful since I need to be able to save them, but my current cultivation is only a level or two above that woman's. Luckily, I still have my experience from that previous lifetime.
