Let's Kill This Beast: Oh Wait, No, Don't Do That
Night was falling when Daphne said, "We should make camp."
No one argued and chose a small, partially sheltered are not to far from the river to rest for the night.

"Here. Let's sleep on this," Loki said while handing out the strips of meat. "The water is safe to drink."
The six of them quickly set up camp, Nishan starting a small fire with his Ability. "Who's going to take watch?"
"Four of us take turns to take a 2 and a half hour watch," Terrence said. "I can take the first watch."
"I can take second," Saltavore offered. "Daphne, Seraphine, mind if you take the third and fourth watch?"
"Sure," Daphne grinned. "You know, you guys have really changed. A couple weeks ago, you'd be ordering us to take watch, and now here we are, all friends."
"Don't push it," Nishan grumbled, not denying Daphne's claim of them being friends. "Let's just get some sleep."
The next morning, Loki's Xp had went up again. He went to the river, drinking some water before heading downstream to take a quick bath.

Loki pulled of his current clothes, giving them a quick wash in the water before pulling out his set of clothes from the Inventory.

He put on the fresh clothes before returning to the clearing where everyone was already awake.

Loki passed them their set of clothes. "Once you guys are done bathing, wash your clothes in the river. Nishan, could you dry the clothes with your fire later?"
After they had taken a bath and changed, the old clothes all washed and dried, Loki stored everything back into his Inventory.

The six of them started walking along the riverside again.
"Where are we heading exactly?" Nishan said after awhile.
"Wherever this river leads us," Seraphine replied.
"But what if the river leads us to one of the other cities?" Saltavore questioned.
"We'll follow the river until we find a cave to explore for mana crystals," Loki answered.
"What's that?" Everyone turned to where Daphne was pointing.
"What's what?" Terrence frowned. "I don't see anything."
"No," Daphne said. "I thought I heard a person scream."
"I didn't hear anything," Nishan said with a shrug. "Sure you didn't imagine it?"
"Let's follow the sound," Daphne gestured in a direction. "Come on!"
"This feels like deja vu," Loki muttered. "How do you not know that we're walking straight into a monster?"
"I think we will," was what Daphne said.
"You think we will run into a monster? And you still want to head in that direction?" Saltavore looked appalled. "Why would you want to do that?"
"For one, the monster will probably sniff us out soon enough because there can only be that many people alive out of the cities. Second of all, if we meet a monster, maybe Loki will get a quest or something that can help us find mana crystals, like the map he got from defeating the Anthropophagus last time."
"I can't believe you," Terrence shook his head. "You are crazy."
But even though he said that, everyone still followed Daphne, because that was the best plan they currently had.
As Daphne led them in a direction, they heard a scream that was followed by a sickening crunch. They slowly crept up to see the a terrifying beast that had a lion's head, alligator's body and a snake for a tail. It also had big, bulbous yellow eyes. The beast had a dead man in its jaws, crunching it up.

[It now not only has a better protected body, it also has the eyes of Basilisk]
[Looking it straight in the eye will kill you]
[Looking at its eyes in a reflection will paralyze you]
[The snake is very poisonous and can throw out balls of acid]
[The alligator body is hard to harm]
[The lion head can breathe fire]
[The only way to kill it is by pouring some of its own poison down its throat]
Loki let his friends know what the beast was and how to kill it, before noticing something new on his screen.
[A Chimera is extremely dangerous to kill]
"Why is that?" Loki asked quietly.
[When a Chimera is killed, in 5 minutes, everything within 5000 miles will be destroyed in an explosion]
