The next day, Loki was talking with Daphne. "We're going to Mr. Sor's house for sure?"
"Yes, my parents wanted me to get to know him more. Probably so that I'll be more convinced to join The Snakes," Daphne sighed. "What's your Xp?"
"1130/1200," Loki answered. "Are we attending an event or is this a private visit?"
"A private visit," Daphne sighed. "It'll be harder to sneak away, but now that we know that he has incriminating documents in his safe, we just have to find out which safe and how to take it without him noticing it's gone."
"That's easier said than done," Loki sighed. "Still, at least it's a start."
"Come on," Nishan called them. "We're leaving in half an hour."
"Why so early?" Loki asked as they walked over to where the rest of their friends were standing.
"Mr. Sor wants plenty of time to get to know us," Terrence grimaced.
"Well, we should get changing," Daphne sighed. "Even if this isn't an event, we should still look decent, I suppose."
After they had changed to casual yet elegant shirts and shorts, they got into the limo that was waiting for them to go to Mr. Sor's house.
When they arrived, Seraphine commented in slight surprise, "I thought that Mr. Sor's house would be fancier."
"Oh, my real one is," Mr. Sor appeared out of nowhere, ushering them into his house. "This is my humble cottage where I prefer to be alone or with pretty little girls." He looked at Daphne when he said that and she immediately looked away.
"Are we having lunch here, Mr. Sor?" Terence hurriedly asked.
"Lunch and dinner will all be at my cottage," Mr. Sor smiled. "I hope you'll enjoy the food that my cook makes."
"I'm sure we will," Nishan said. "This cottage isn't very big. I suppose there's only a few rooms, the dining room, and a living room?"
"Oh, no," Mr. Sor shook his head. "I also have a personal study where I keep some of my private things there."
"Oh?" Saltavore hummed. "Why would you keep anything in the middle of the woods, where there aren't as many guards as your mansion?"
"Not as many people know of my cottage in the woods," Mr. Sor shrugged. "But enough of that. Let's eat some lunch, then I'd like to get to know all of you, especially Daphne, better."
"Of course," Daphne gritted out. "I'd be happy to let you know whatever you want to know."
The six friends trailed to the dining room where Mr. Sor's butlers served up some roast boar with baked potatoes and baked vegetables.
"I decided to go rustic today," Mr. Sor rubbed his palms together. "I hunted this boar myself."
"Really? That is amazing," Loki smiled politely. "
While Mr. Sor continued to rattle on about his hunting achievements, Daphne told Loki, 'We need to find a way to get into that study of his!'
'He's really passionate about hunting, right?' Loki said. 'If he's really as good as he says, any award he's earned through hunting will probably be in that study of his, since he cares about hunting so much. We have to find a way to make him show us his achievements.'
When they finished lunch and the butlers had cleared their plates, Loki asked, "Mr. Sor, you're a good hunter, right? Surely you have some awards for hunting?"
"Well, I do, but they're in my study, so I don't think I should," Mr. Sor laughed.
"Mr. Sor," Daphne batted her eyelashes. "Will you please show us your hunting awards? Even my parents have never been the best hunters, so I would really appreciate it if you could show us the many awards I'm sure you have."
Mr. Sor grinned. "Well, since you're asking so nicely, I suppose I could let you this once. Come with me."
As they walked behind Mr. Sor, Saltavore whispered, "What's the plan to opening his safe and him not noticing his documents missing?"
"I'll come with a plan for the latter," Loki answered quietly. "But if we can somehow get Mr. Sor to prick himself, do you think you could collect his blood and turn into him? His safe can only be opened by him, so I think it's his fingerprint or something like that."
"I can try," Saltavore said. "But I don't look forward to drinking his blood."
"Does blood taste bad to you?" Seraphine wondered. "I mean, to us, drinking blood is just weird but does blood taste different to you according to your Abilities?"
"Most blood is just bland to me, except for human blood. Human blood varies from one's personality, and Mr. Sor does not have a nice personality."
"Here we are!" Mr. Sor flung open a door and stepped inside.
As they followed him, they suddenly felt like they were being electrocuted and passed out in an instant.
