The Revelation

Hye In was just quietly looking at the scenario that was unfolding in front of her. She was very satisfied with what was happening.

Though it would please her more if she was the one to slap that lowly attendant, she knew she couldn't do so as her image will be tarnished then. She doesn't want people talking badly about her.

What she wanted is for them to see her as a victim, someone pitiful and helpless from the ruthless King that doesn't care about her. So, the only way for her to execute this properly is to make use of Eun Ha.

Since Eun Ha is her personal attendant and also childhood friend, what she says and does indirectly represent what she would have done as the Queen of Koryo.

But since she wasn't the one doing it, people will think that Eun Ha is doing so for her sake and also for her image as Queen.

That way, people won't be able to criticize her nor Eun Ha for doing anything since she, as a Queen, wouldn't have the heart to do such cruel things and so her personal attendant will do so for her sake.

What a failproof plan she had thought of. She felt it wasn't wasted of her clever brain to think of a plan so quickly. Now, all she got to do is play the part of a kind and warm-hearted Queen.

"Stop! You don't have to shout at her. She's not at fault. Maybe the Noble Consort might be sick, that's why she couldn't come. We cannot just assume that she forgets her duties as a Noble Consort right? I mean, she's here longer than I am. So how could she?"

Hye In smiles gently at Sohye as she holds her hand and helps her up. She even went so far as to dust off the dirt from her around her skirt, making Sohye flustered by her action.

Because from what she knows, Hye In wasn't what she looks like. She may look nice on the outside but actually harbors evil intentions on the inside.

If it wasn't for Joo Won's reminder to be cautious of her, Sohye would have never doubted Hye In's character. She somehow was thankful that he wasn't swayed by Hye In's beauty and was still on Yuna's side.

Because no one would know what would happen if she was to fall for her sweet talk and might end up betraying Yuna. At least now, she knows not to believe in anything that comes out of Hye In's mouth.

"Thank you for your kindness towards me, Your Majesty. I apologize for asking such a rude question earlier. Then, can I assume that you must be here to check on my mistress? Because if so, I'm sorry to say but she's still not awake yet."

So Hye can clearly see the rage in her eyes as she said so but she knew that Hye In wouldn't react. And knowing that her personal attendant would come and slap her face again in her stead, she quickly kneeled down again, with her head bowed down to the dirty floor.

"Please your Majesty, If you are angry, please do not blame my mistress as it was I that did not wake her up. She had not been sleeping well these few days and even yesterday, she only manage to sleep at dawn. So please, blame me instead as I only cared for my mistress wellbeing and didn't think of yours."

There was a moment of silence as Hye In just look at Sohye who was still kneeling and begging her on the ground. She was contemplating her choice of action that she can take at that moment.

She knows full well that she couldn't lash out at her after she had said such a heart-wrenching thing for Yuna since it will show that she has no compassion against other people and is heartless.

So the only thing she could do now is to pretend to be understanding and be worried about Yuna's health. Though it's not something she wanted to do, she has to since that was her only option out of the situation.

"Please, don't kneel down like that at such a dirty place. I understand and I'm not mad so please rise. I- I don't like seeing people kneeling down like such. Please don't ever do that again alright? Now, if I may, can I see the Noble Consort? I will try to not wake her up. I just want to see her condition."

Sohye's eyes began to panic as Hye In walked past her after she helped her up yet again, quickly reaching the door of Yuna's chamber. She tried to chase after her and stop her but was blocked by Eun Ha, making it impossible to do so in time.

Hye In was pleased with Sohye's reaction as she did felt that she was trying to hide some things from her. Thankfully, she didn't doubt her senses as she open the door to Yuna's chamber.

As she opened the door, she immediately sneered as she look around at the condition of it. It was small and plain, exactly as how she had imagined it to be. There wasn't a sight of gold or luxury anywhere to be found.

No matter where she walked around the chamber, there wasn't anything interesting to see nor anything that catches the eye. It was as if she's looking at the quarters where all the attendants are staying and not that of an Imperial Noble Consort.

It made her wonder, just how bad have Joo Won been treating Yuna all these years that they have been married. If there weren't any valuable items around, doesn't that just mean that she's literally being mistreated by him and that he was just using her?

So technically, no matter how she had look, which she presumes Joo Won must have seen her face before, he wasn't going to be interested in Yuna and that maybe, how he acted with her yesterday is just how he is.

If that was the case, it was going to be harder for her to approach him since he doesn't bother caring about anyone he marries. But that didn't stop Hye In from thinking up a plan for it.

She wanted him to fall for her and that's exactly what she would do. The main problem of it now is just to find what he is interested in and have the same interest with him, making it seem like it's fated and wants to know more about her.

But obviously, she had underestimated Joo Won yet again. What she didn't know is that what he's interested in was Yuna and only her. So it's almost impossible for her to find other things that he was interested in other than Yuna or even try to make him fall out of love with her.
