They weren't particularly taught, or even told by families, not even theirs, and definitely not in the times they were living. The focus wasn't as much on teaching kids about their past, but getting them prepared for the future. Hero education was way more important, than some stories that may, or may not be real.

She backed off, not knowing what the lion was going to do. She was also confused. What should she do in this situation? After thinking about this for probably longer, than she should have, the lion pounced, and was already ready to claw her into multiple pieces.
