Chapter 109 - Nostalgia

——Jumping back in time…——

Zenia was pacing up and down. She had some worries in her head, and they definitely showed in her wrinkles on her forehead. Francis was sitting next to her, just getting a few minutes of peace, in between his aerial patrols. Baulder just recently emerged from below, walking up vertically on his vines, that run through the entire bridge.

Zenia finally settled in one spot, right in front of Francis, and she was ready to open her mouth, but something just didn't let her speak. From her face, it definitely looked like uncertainty. The way her eyes were sizing up the young man sitting in front of her, studying every nook and cranny of his expression.

"What are you looking at?" he finally asked.

"What?" she jumped back in shock, "No-nothing!"

"Uh-huh…" he grinned, "I know you want something so, out with it?"

"Was that a question…?" she hid her smile.

"Sort of," he laughed, "Come on, I know something bothers you."
