Chapter 147 - The Labyrinth of the North

Blood froze in my veins. I wasn't sure what happened, but I knew it was serious. I noticed that the researchers were looking in my direction, so I had to turn away again, just to make sure they wouldn't hear anything. It might cause them some unwanted pain.

"Yeah, got you," I whispered, "Any clue as to what happened?"

"No," he replied after a second of hesitation, "It's weird though, There was no signs of intrusion, even the door was broken from inside."

"I see," I said, deeply confused, "I guess it could be the work of an assassin, or a thief, or something… But why would they send in someone, just to recover a body?"

"I don't know," he said, "When can you come back?"

"In about 30 minutes," I responded, "But I'm not sure."

"Get back whenever you can," he said, "We need to act, now."

"See you there."
