The next day

'Pokemon learn far faster than humans even though they are not that intelligent or wise which is contradictory in itself.'

The man thought while getting up from his bed. His Riolu was in her pokeball. The environment in the pokeball is better for her training than outside as it is fitted with leeser heal functions. She trained till exhaustion but since he had enough to provide her ample nutrition he would let her be.

It was far more efficient and effective if she herself wants to grow stronger. Often times other people words can either become a motivation or a burden to children as they place their expectations on them. This can lead to mental breakdown and stunned growth for them. It's just like rape but is often neglected. Every one wants their kid to be the best even if they are not the best themselves. Thinking better about their children's future is good and all but burdening them with expectations lead to downfall. The child will one day definitely break down and either commit suicide or live in depression and then commit crimes as a salvation. The child may already have lost his will after his parents and loved ones found him. They just become empty shells with no will to sustain their bodies with.

The man didn't want this to happen to her. The amount of rest she got after exhausting herself was far more than when she just madly wanted to train.

He looked at his pokeball one last time before going to shower. He cleaned himself properly. Riolu has sharp sense of smell and his smell can cause her irritation when she is in close proximity with him.

He was a weird person. If his past friends knew that he would become like this one day, they would just treat it like a dream and ignore it or would think that he was hypnotized by someone. He was that much infamous.

After coming out of the shower, he saw that Riolu was stretching its body. She must have awakened when he went to shower. The shower gel was nice and all.

He went behind her and hugged her tightly while saying surprise.

That day a scream reverberated through the whole Pokemon center, it seemed like a scream of a girl that was attacked by big bad wolf.

Thirty minutes later

"I am sorry, I would ask for permission from you before doing it" said the man.

"Rio, rio ,Riolu ,rio , rio Riolu, lu riolu lu" replied the Riolu.

She looked angry, depressed and ashamed at the same time.

Let's see the situation from her perspective.

She had just gotten up and was doing stretching. She heard a faint noise behind her and turned to look at the source.

She saw that the man was half naked and was running towards her. She was terrified and when the man hugged her, she screamed.

( The man has just gotten out of the shower and was wrapped in a towel.)

Fortunately the man stopped after she screamed. The maidens life saving skill she learned from a Glameow was worth it. She was thankful for that Glameow that thought her those skills.

Now to the original perspective.

Present time

The Riolu calmed down after a lot of time and promises, she was like a daughter during her rebellious period. He fed her and checked her body mass and health and then sent her to her pokeball. She would train there today.

The man went to the construction site once again. The contractor was so happy to see him. His face looked like he saw his lost youth coming with the girls of his dreams.

They once again went to the site. The man completed the work the same as the last time. In just 8 hours, all the load bearing work was done by him alone. The contractor paid him 10,000 pokedollars this time while also asking him if he was available to work for him.

The man rejected the contractor. He might have agreed if he didn't have the Riolu and had not started his journey. With his speed, he would just need to do this for half an year to buy a house in Dawn's town with enough to spare for the next coming years.

But he had already decided on what he wanted to do. He wanted to be a pokemon trainer and roam the world for a few years. He will stop after he will be 26 years old. He would buy a small house at a small town, marry a woman and then enjoy his life with his kids. He was 21-22 something this year. To be precise, his body was.

But he agreed to work overtime for him but at an extra cost. The contractor immediately agreed. To him, making the man work for him was like saving the salary of four people. The man alone was enough to complete the work of more than four people as humans get tired. This beast didn't. He was like an excavator that just wanted to dig deeper and deeper.

The man asked for a two hour break. The contractor gave him the permission.

The man went to a nearby park to sit down and enjoy the wind. He released his Riolu. She was training her body. He asked her to stop and fed her food once again. She looked better than morning. She was growing fast. At this rate, he can start teaching her footwork and dodging and throwing techniques in another four days.

She happily ate her food. She knew that the food was the one that was making her stronger. She wanted to become stronger. Moreso after seeing him working all day.

Little by little, without her knowledge, she was opening up to him. She wanted to improve not just for her sake but for his sake also. He was a weird man but she was beginning to like him.
