First day of training

Sky was standing in front of the Veilstone City. He needed three hours to reach this place.

"Well, it doesn't look like I am having a Pokemon adventure to me though. This feels like I am back at the organisation going for missions time and time again."

Sky said to his Pokemons without any change of expression on his face. His voice was also calm. So were his emotions.

"I will personally kill that Cyrus and Giovanni. I will."

Another calm sentence.

"Now that I have vented enough, let's go and beat that weak girl, plus I am wondering if she is good looking or not. She is also an important side character so she should be beautiful, right?"

Sky said with his usual cheesy tone.

"Rioo."

"Mimikyu."

"Sol."

"Las."

"Treec, treecko."

"Bite gabite."

The Pokemons all expressed their emotions.

"Thanks for your uh-... encouragement. Yeah, that is the word. Should be."

Sky replied to them.

All of them looked at him while rolling their eyes. They were pretty sure that even if the person is a young kid of 10 years of age, he would still be able to understand what they mean with their actions.

And they were right as well as Sky did understood their meaning but ignored them as it was not the time for that.

He went to the nearby Pokemon center and then registered a room for his stay in the Veilstone City and also got his Gym appointment.

He then searched for the video feeds of the Veilstone City Gym matches.

Pokemon World fact.

The Gym battles and other challenges have taken the place of basketball matches and other sports in this world. People, just like our world, admire and respect the Gym Leaders of their cities.

Most of the Gym matches were broadcasted to the public the next day after the battle had been fought.

This was done to increase the popularity of the trainer's and Pokemons while earning side cash for the extra benefits.

The broadcasts were the main reason why kids want to become a Pokemon trainer in this world.

[Some things never change regardless of the world.]

Of course, the challenger is asked for the permission to broadcast his or her match or whether they want to blur the face or change the name even though most of the trainer don't use it.

Finally and lastly (both are the same), The crowd and spectators. The Challenger has the right to allow spectators to watch his match or vice versa.

This was done to prevent the shy Challengers from breaking down.

The main problem being that the piracy of Gym matches and Gym Leaders information caused a lot of trouble to the Pokemon Police.

So even though the Challenger has the right to decide whether he wants to do it in front of people or to do it alone. Gym battle that is. The Gym leaders can't interfere in it.

4 days later

Sky looked at the beautiful and stylish, old style Japanese like Gym building, then looked at the surroundings of the building and then finally looked at the opposite of the Gym. He finally got his chance for the Gym battle in the Veilstone City and Gardenia had still not came.

According to her coordinator, she would need two more days to reach Eterna City as she was finally done with the work and then it would need around five days till he can fight as the Challengers before him were ready for the battle.

"It is like the city is divided from the Gym."

Sky said to his Pokemons. It was a completely unrelated sentence yet they also agreed. All of them except the Riolu, were either trapped in the experiment cells or International Police headquarters training area. None of them had seen such unique designs and houses.

The Pokemons too copied Sky and looked at the Gym and then opposite of it. It was like two different worlds.

The Gym and it's surroundings were old style, wood houses and all the traditional and vintage decorations. The designs and the atmosphere caused a feeling of serenity to bloom in them.

Then they looked at the opposite direction.

It was the Game building. The surroundings of the game building was full of skycrapers. They can still hear the noise of all the vehicles, people and all their other day to day activities.

Such a weirdly disturbing sight.

They all thought in sync. While they were in thought, Sky had already got the gaurds to open the gate in the meantime. He entered the Veilstone City Gym.

His Pokemons followed him. All of them were out of their Pokeballs and all of them were excited to finally show the world that the fanfic is a Pokemon one, not the super powered mutant in other world.

"Ok, all of you, remember the training that you had in Alamos Town. Just do it like that but improvise at times as the opponent's are not the imaginary ones or me. For that, I will help you by giving commands but never trust me too much and always be on the lookout for the opportunities yourself. YOU are the one fighting in there and you are also the one who knows about the condition of your bodies so even if you lose don't overexert as you will do more harm than good. Understood."

Sky said to them. He did not ask, he said to them. All the Pokemons nodded once in response. Their thoughts went towards the torture that their trainer called training...

4 days ago

It had been a day since Sky was perfectly healed and he was in the outskirts of the Alamos Town.

Sky looked at the clearings outside the Alamos Town. It was a grassland full of Miltanks and Mareeps grazing at the grass.

The sky was clear and azure blue. The trees were rustling with the sound of leaves. Many small Pokemons like Starly, Pidgey, Patrat, beautifly etc could be seen hunting for their prey. The cool breeze from the Eterna Forest was making the situation an ideal picnic spot.

Sky was standing in the clearing with his Pokemons beside him. All of them except Riolu were eager for the so called training with Sky. They didn't knew... They didn't...

4 hours later.

All the Pokemons except the Gabite and Mimikyu were panting. They were feeling as if their soul had left their bodies from their feet.

The feeling of exhaustion that they felt was unexplainable. Their eyes were blank and they were struggling to even jog. They were dragging their stiff and tired body with difficultly. All in all, it looked like a sight from a zombie movie but in the Pokemon World. It was a weird sight to see.

As for Gabite and Mimikyu. Well Gabite was strong and Mimikyu cheated. She hid in the shadow of Gabite and let her run and only appeared when Sky was near or behind them.

Half an hour later.

A man could be seen running in the grasslands outside the Alamos Town. A group of Pokemons were watching him run while eating their food.

Sky had already given them his permission to eat. As for why he did that...

"Rio rio riolu." { I told you guys and you didn't believe me at that time, how are you feeling now}

Riolu said to Absol in the 'I told you' tone while eating her apple flavored Pokeblocks. Crumbs of the Pokeblocks could be seen on the sides of her mouth. She really was hasty eater and she had the reason too. She knew that Sky seldom allowed laziness during training and they previously ran for about 6 hours but it was just four hours now. Something has to be fishy. So she ignored the matter of her oncoming disaster and decided to enjoy her time.

"Sol." { He didn't do any of this when he caught me though, why do you think I would believe you?}

Absol counterattacked. She still was eyeing the position of Riolu from Sky. She still needed to get the ribbon bomb out of her neck and only then she can breathe in peace. Both figuratively and literally.

"Rio rio." { Today is the third day since he 'caught' you. Just the third day.}

Riolu's reverse got Absol. Riolu also couldn't believe that it had been just three days since she faced the most dangerous days in her life. There were still some good memories there as well but they were overshadowed by the bad ones till now as she never thought about the incident in detail. The only thing she felt was the bad memories and nightmares but even they went away when she slept beside Sky. She had developed a strong bond of trust in him. So much that it could be regarded as blind faith. Sky reminded her of her mother and she felt safe with him.

"Sol Absol ab sol " {I really am unfortunate to meet him then. In just three days, I have nearly died more than 17 times, plus time seems to slow down when I am with him. I also can't seem to forget those memories of us as well. The fear of death and all the other stuff that is.}

Absol started to vent in her feelings. She was the one who got the most scares on that whole day. In the morning, she got 'caught'by a psychopath who tied a bomb on her neck and in the night, she was feeling the pressure of her death each and every time they got near a strong Pokemon.

During the last confrontation, she had seen her death for more than 10 times in just a few breaths. She was terrified of losing her life, so terrified that she nearly was unable to process the things that Sky said and the sudden movement and she was safe. There were no sight of death or anything else. The human kept his promise. She was alive as she listened to him.

"Mimikyu." {Don't badmouth him!}

Mimikyu said with an octave higher than usual.

"Rio." {Trust me, we are not and please speak a little quietly.}

Riolu said calmly. She still felt that she, as their senior, should get respect!

"Mimikyu mimikyu Mimik kyu" { Forgive my bad mood there, I just don't like anyone badmouthing him. I want to rip their mouths apart. He he he he he.}

Mimikyu apologized, firstly because she was in the wrong and secondly because she knew that Sky liked Riolu a lot.

"Sol." { I can sort of know why this one became his Pokemon.}

Absol sarcastically said to no one in particular and continued to eat her Poffins.

"Fros lass." { He is mine so don't have any ill thoughts."

Froslass joined the conversation with them. She felt a little left out and she heard something about someone that she was interested.

"Rio." { He isn't.}

"Sol." { He isn't.}

Both replied at the same time with different emotions. One with unknown and second who knew the truth. Guess who is who.

"Lasss." { Ohh and who will get in my way.}

"..."

"..."

Now both of them were silent. Senior and all they were but they still knew theyy can't beat her. Even their trainer can't beat this old hag then what can they do but a woman never forgets her grievances and they promised themselves to have it later. This conversation happened with just a single eye contact between the both of them. It was the truest and also the most peaceful truce that they had.

"Mimikyu." { Don't cause trouble}

"Ga bite." { Fight! fight!}

"Tree cko treecko." { Don't tempt them. In case they fought they we will also get in trouble and even if all of us were to be combined, we still can't defeat her.}

Treecko said while signalling Sky with Left blades towards the air. She knew that he will definitely see the leaf blades.

The three of them tried to calm the situation in their own way. All of them knew of strength of the Froslass and fighting her now was suicidal.

"Sky sky."

"Rio." { Get out of the way, I will show this hag what I am.}

Riolu said while trying to push the figure stopping her.

"Rio." {Hmm.}

Riolu said while feeling the figure that was stopping her.

!!!

"Rio?"

Riolu was still checking the figure but looked above her.

"Rioooo!!!!?"

Riolu immediately got on her knees and begged for mercy. She saw the look. The same look that took her apple flavored desserts, ice-creams and Pokeblocks to flavourless, bland ones that she felt like puking and it went on for three days. Three whole days!!!

"I won't do anything... For now that is."

Riolu became happy during the first half and then despair welcomed her with open arms. Her heart pained from the oncoming disaster and her mind was in a mush. She felt like life had no meaning.

Why? Because she knew that her trainer seldom forgot about punishment and it doubles every single time. It's his words and she knew that he will do as he said.

She was regretting her choices of bickering.

"All of you except Treecko as she informed me. Now, onto the next part of our training. All of you are going to choose a single of your moves, the one that all of you use the most, not the strongest one but the one that you literally use the most and practice it in different forms, environment and in combination with other moves. All the things that you did in the past four hours were the basic training and you will do it till the next three months."

"Now, all of you, start your training make sure to never hold back, even if the target is me or any other among you."
