Chapter Five

We all sat around the huge fire pit Brad made, Even the Giant was able to sit close. Everyone watched me walk to my seat next to Brad. Then I told my whole life Story when Annaya, Ella, and King David came over. They sat next to the Giant when I started with the story.

"Well, my life starts out not normal, I was born in the Kingdom of Masanya as the first son of the king. It was a very cold place near the border of the country. We were isolated from the other kingdoms for so long we looked like we were stuck in the past in the dark ages. My early days of childhood were ok, and I followed my father everywhere. Till the day my brother was born, he was born in the fall when it was getting colder. Our mother died from the cold, but Brad here didn't. So, I made a promise to keep him safe for my mother.

Around this time after we grew up more and more. I started feeling different, bullies of my village would pick on me for not being like them. So, when they hit me in the face, I would blackout for a minute, then walk up to them cowering in the corner covered in bruises. My father saw this, he tried to teach me to control my condition with training. When I trained Brad was still little yet, so it was just me for a long time.

I noticed I was getting abnormally stronger every day I trained. To a point where I didn't know how strong I really was till I shattered rock with my bare fist. That was when I was twelve and I trained concisely till I left my home almost a year ago. Well, after a couple of years of doing all this Brad Joined me in training, he began to get faster like how I am strong, so we just thought it was a family thing.

Till I found out from my father a witch cursed me before I was even born. My father had pissed off a witch and she put a berserk curse on me. Where I'll be given incredible strength, but if I am to get angry for any reason the curse will put me on an uncontrollable rampage. I learned after that I could be brought back myself if I hear the cries of people I care for. I don't always work, but sometimes when I finish knocking out who pissed me off, I had a better chance of coming back. " I said all this, and I took a big drink of water then Zodia asked me. "How do we know when you change into that Berserker version of yourself?" I looked at her and then looked at Brad then Brad said to me. "His eyes glow a bright purple, like how a Vampire does when they are angry. Then his movements are slow at first hands, his hands are tight.

He also has another part of him that his eyes glow a bright red when he's angry, but he controls his actions. I've only seen it once when that prince at the banquet started a scene with him. Other than that, you won't know till he attacks, I for a long time was the only one besides our Cousin who was able to snap him out of that. " Brad looked over at me and he let me tell more of the story.

"After I learned that I spent time using my training time hunting with Brad here out in the woods. For years we hunted for our kingdom and gave the food to our people first before ourselves. We did notice the general of the kingdom had taken over from my father's health started to decline. They for the most part left us alone and let us do what we wanted. Except one who thought we were just nothing but a waste of time for the King.

One day after we came back from hunting, he tried to take the deer we got for himself, but I wouldn't let him near it. The only thing I remember after being hit over the head was nothing. " I paused as Brad told his part of what he saw. "After I saw Jacob get hit over the head by his eyes, they were so bright and angry it scared me to death. Jacob picked up a hatchet near him and walked slowly at the General. Jacob was as tall as he is now because this happened a year ago. Well, Jacob pulled his arm up, and before the general could run Jacob threw it at him. The hatchet caught the guy right where the general had hit Jacob. On the back of the head, and then Jacob turned around, his eyes turned back to blue. " Brad shivered for a moment and started telling him what happened after.

"After that, I was arrested and asked to see my father. Instead of being killed like how it was the law. My father had me banished from my home and from the Kingdom till the end of time. When I left home and started my journey going from place to place. I helped a couple of people who were in trouble. Then I made my long two months walk making my way heading south. The rest of my story can be told by King David and Annaya.

" Everyone looked at each other and then they smiled. Roy then said, "We all have stories like that, and we all found our ways to see Queen Rosa. You and your brother are the only ones who found Someone else to help you. King David and Annaya have helped you find your place here and even shown you more possibilities. Queen Rosa made the Royal Knights for people who are cast as too much to handle and give them a home. There are very few here because of how careful, she is, but one day we will have more people to help our countrymen in due time."

I smiled my famous smile and then I replied with the same statement as I did back in the Kingdom of Nails. "For myself, I see this as a way to help others who need it. From that, I still say this and stick with it. I will never bow to anyone; no man or woman is better than the other until they prove it to me. I chose to bow to Queen Rosa because she showed me respect and trusted me when she shouldn't. " Everyone looked right at me when I said that knowing him bowing to someone is his way of saying. "I respect you and honor your generosity."

A couple of hours went by and everyone left, I was still sitting by the fire with Annaya, Ella, and King David. I watched the fire dance, on the wood as if it were trying to tell me something. Then King David said something that pulled at my heart. "You know, listening to your story was quite thrilling. It was like something out of a storybook from my childhood. Thank you for telling us a little bit more about you, it was a treat and a fond new memory. " King David got up and patted me on the back then he said before he went back to the castle.

"Be sure you walk Annaya back when she gets tired, my dear boy." I smiled and promised him I would, but Annaya didn't want to leave just yet. Brad got up from his seat and headed into the cabin only saying good night to Ella as she ran to catch up with King David.

I sat next to Annaya for a while as she looked into the flames with me. She leaned her head on my shoulder and she said in a soft voice. "I never want this moment to end, this feels so beautiful here." She then fell asleep on my shoulder and I put the jacket I was wearing over her as I watched the fire a bit more.

"Yeah, days like this only come by once in a while. No telling what's going to happen in the next couple of days."
