"This fast?!" Aroon was surprised to hear that.
"Sigh, I thought I could get a mission to level up again," Aroon shook his head in regret while running fast towards the direction of his town.
"Can't you just give me missions to directly level up?" Aroon was trying to get more benefits but he was doomed to be disappointed.
"You are a stingy old man!"
"…"
Aroon refrained from expressing his discontent and simply kept running back towards his town.
Just as he reached there, he cancelled his transformation and started to run at a lower speed. However he noticed a group of people waiting for him.
And they were all familiar.
"I didn't know you'll miss me this much," Aroon sarcastically said while stopping in front of the group of five fallens led by no one else but Mark.
"Humph, I just wanted to make sure you won't run away from here," Mark calmly said with a strange smile over his face.
"Last time we met you were twisting on the ground out of pain," Aroon shrugged, "do you miss that feeling now or what?"
The face of Mark and the group of fallens around changed slightly when they heard his words. "I'm dying to see the look on your face when you got defeated in her hands," Mark said with a vicious expression over his face.
And his firm and confident tone made Aroon confused.
"Do you have a broken thing there?" Aroon pointed to Mark's head, "wasn't defeating you one time enough for you? Wanna be humiliated again?"
Mark sneered, turned around and pointed to the inside of the town, "Come, I'm not the one who will fight you today."
Aroon raised one eyebrow while the other fallens moved fast to surround him.
"The esteemed lady is waiting for you inside,"' Mark shortly laughed, "this time you'll get a real taste of what real power means."
Aroon didn't know what he was talking about but he walked leisurely inside the town. Despite the fallens surrounding him, he walked like he was alone here.
"Aroon," just as he walked for a few minutes, this distressed shout came from his back.
"Cheryl, what's happening?" Aroon simply asked while waiting for Cheryl to come closer.
"If you value your life, then stay away from him," yet Mark shouted in a warning tone, "he is going to fight her no matter what."
"Just shut up," Cheryl shouted back but Mark stood to block her path and his body seemed to change.
"If you laid a single finger on her, I promise you will miss your entire arm for that," yet Aroon calmly said in a very domineering way.
And his words were enough to make Mark hesitate to do anything.
"You need to run from here," Cheryl said once she got closer to him after bypassing the terrified Mark. "They found the mecha owner and brought her back to fight you."
This time Aroon's face looks funny while he raises both eyebrows in response to her words. "They found a female mecha?" he couldn't help but ask.
And his mind already presented him with the identity of that mecha.
"She came here looking for you," Mark finally found his lost courage, "we didn't invite her to fight you, that's the truth."
"She came looking for me?" Aroon was more surprised to hear that. "What's her name?" he tried to confirm the guess he had in his head.
"There is no time for that," Cheryl was so distressed at the moment, "you need to run towards any nearby town. This mecha is very strong and you can't defeat it."
Aroon felt a warm touch when he heard her words. "You were waiting for me to return?" he asked and she nodded.
"Not just me, Anna and Arora plus some other sane fallens," she said the last words while gazing in anger towards Mark. "You need to run, no fallen person can beat such a mecha."
He looked directly at her eyes and felt her sincere worry over him. She was really trying to help, but she misunderstood the entire thing.
He was the mecha everyone was looking for, and that other mecha was someone he wouldn't put in the eye.
"Where is she now?" he calmly asked.
"You just need to run," Cheryl even moved to grab his arms, "you need to run away while you still have time."
"He won't leave here without fighting her," Mark suddenly shouted. He motioned to his dogs and they all moved in unison to stand beside him, blocking any potential path of retreat for Aroon.
"Stay the hell out of the way," Cheryl's tone showed her fierce determination, "even if I had to fight all of you I will."
"Humph, as if I'll be worried about some speedster," Mark sneered and that comment made Aroon quite unpleasant.
Yet he gave Mark a simple glance before slowly taking Cheryl's trembling hands off his arms. "Don't worry," he said with a calm smile, "everything will be alright."
"But…"
"Shhh," he put his hand over her lips, "have more trust in your man, alright?"
Her face turned slightly red while Mark and his dogs laughed in a mocking way. "A dead useless fallen like you dare to take such a thing lightly… I can't wait to see that fight."
"As for you," Aroon pushed Cheryl gently to the side with a force she couldn't resist. He stood in front of Mark and his dogs while adding, "after meeting that mecha and sorting things out with her, it's best for all of you not to be around the town. Or else…"
